LecturerIFE: Otan, lemme Goan find cold zobo and hot puff puff to relax, it is Mapoly ohhh, since January, my ND certificate apparently grew wings and off it went, since then, I have been getting one excuse or the other, they only gave me HND certificate. I guess I will need a prescription from Dr Patiencemycine. I was also informed that the SOR and Transcript is exactly the same the only difference is the document title. I suspected as much. Thanks, a lot, at least I now know where village people want to pass and enter. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Good evening house, please I’m asking on behalf of a friend whose application got rejected recently. I got refused from Canada immigration cos my husband was refused while single and considered inadmissible till 2021. Is there a way i can appeal or apply alone pending the time? Her husband had applied sometime in 2016 via the paper based route, they requested for his work history record which he sent via NIPOST but it didn’t get to them. While applying for this as a couple, they didn’t include the rejection in their application. Is there anything that could be done to salvage this? 1 Like |

GloShare: Your'e suggesting he bribe his cousin for sponsorship? Looks like the wrong advice of the year. What if his cousin sends the evidence of bribe to IRCC, what do you think would happen? 7 Likes |

Hi, since you both have study and work permit, why not land in Canada get a job to boost your points, whoever has the study permit should study, in all it helps boost your score when you have the appropriate years. My seniors will contribute to this. oxygen25: 7 Likes |

teechedah: You can process your transcript at the school, I didn't have any issue whatever with my transcript. You can also try your luck with faxing yous Statement of Result, you might be lucky. 1 Like 1 Share |

oxygen25: Why don't you use the appointment letter you used in securing a work visa to claim 50 points and boost your joint CRS score from 449 to 499? That way, there will be no need for the unaccompaning drama. Or maybe we don't get the full story? 5 Likes |

CanPR: It's an open work permit. My wife got it because I have a study permit. She needs to go find a job when we get to Canada. |

Hello, Thanks for being here. I want to start the Canada Express Entry process and I have a burning question to ask. I heard America embassy shares information with Canada Embassy and I will like to know where I stand before proceeding. About 3 years ago I was denied a US visa. In the application, I claimed I was married. My bad! (I was single and i’m still single). I want to know if I won’t have any issue with proceeding with Canada Express Entry as a single. I’m so qualified for the Canada Express Entry, this is the only thing holding me back for now. Please clarify. All the best 1 Like |

oxygen25:Okay, now I understand. Your'e in the best position to know what's best for you. However, it is not advisable to select unaccompaning for your spouse when she will already be with you in Canada by the time your EE application is being considered. You should instead continue your study plan and stay in the pool with 445. Who says scores won't drop below that? In a worst case scenario, you'll still get up to 60 points or so for adaptability and study in Canada at the completion of your study. Study in Canada would also qualify you for some provincial nominations giving you comfortable scores. 6 Likes |

CanPR: The cousin has probably told someone from his immediate family who advised him to discard the other family and probably the applicant in question. Being a Nigerian, I know issues like this are rooted in the belief that "this person can't do zilch for me." I never suggested bribe, however I advised a give-and-take situation which will be mutually beneficial for both parties. Many of us have friends because we give and take from them. Nobody likes to roll with a parasite. BTW, this lady has probably spent a lot on the journey to this point, she should be willing to do what she can, including 'scratching the sponsor's back' in order to get him to make the call. This is today's reality, thus, she should be willing to reach a compromise. 4 Likes |

Bubblefairy: Mine was not printed at all because, according to the school, my SoR has my middle name written as initial. Fortunately, the head of Students Records used to be my lecturer and we sort of got along back then. After explaining why I needed the certificate, we got talking about Nigeria and how and why the middle-class are leaving the country in droves. Well, the certificate was ready within six weeks or so after I had applied... thanks to his assistance. He also acknowledged the need for the school to change its SoR format such that course grades aren't indicated on it. 2 Likes 1 Share |
