I actually saw that particular guide, but a few comments below the guide says it didn't work for them.

Worked for alot of people, even recently worked for someone else...some people cant follow basic instructions sha

Please help o... My Redmi Note 7 battery is really disgracing me... It drains very fast... My Redmi 5 plus performed way better than it, in terms of battery life. Please, how do I improve this battery ish?

Once you start to flash using mi flash tool, you can disconnect your phone at any point in time during the flashing process as long as it hasn't completed 100 percent. It's once it completes flashing that the bootloader is usually locked.

Hmm ok, I'll check if there is a way to reduce effects on snapseed. My mom liked the 2nd one more sha, but she is not a picture somebody, she just liked it cos of its brightness

That brightness na over exposure, plus the saturation too high.
