Why is almost every guy here butthurt about the replies girls are giving on this thread. Truth is a friendship is also a relationship. Yes, it is not a romantic one, but that doesn't change the fact that just like every other relationship, it is more than just chatting with each other. A friendship goes beyond that and is marked by feelings of care, love, respect and admiration. Friendships don't just happen. It actually takes a lot of time and they are always built on trust, comfort and support. Such takes TIME. So you starting a conversation with "I want to be your friend" is absolutely ridiculous. That's you skipping the getting to know each other phase, and the time needed to build trust. Besides, I don't even know you and maybe I don't even want to get to know you. I'm someone who chooses her friends wisely. Yes, I do have a small clique, but it's an amazing one and I trust them all so much and that's because I get to them before calling them friends. In fact when the time comes, you wouldn't have to ask the question "Can I be your friend" or say the "I want to be your friend", you just know! And let's keep it real here, we all know that most Nigerian guys who say such want to be more than just friends. It's the "typical Nigerian man flirt cringy af" line eni4real |

fieryy:At least, you need to know the person you want to date if it worth it. I think that comes from friendship.. May be you don't like that line but it is not that cringy Men are just playing safe.. some ladies pick offenses easily when you go straight to the point.. |
Re: “ I Want To Be Your Friend” by Nobody: 12:07pm On Jun 07, 2019 |
eni4real: I never said you should go straight to the point. I'm just saying get to know that person first. Asking for friendship is not the line for "getting to know someone". Especially if that person didn't know you even existed 5 seconds ago. |

Nope,, you're DEAD wrong. Out of the two hundred million plus Nigerian population of which 90million plus belongs to the feminine gender. How many of them (females) can go out there and woo a guy? How many of them will find it **COOL** (unless they're hookers) when you tell them... **I want to fvck your p*ssy*? You asked a question, yet you're still countering the answer to your question with your overhyped personal experiences/mindset, daz you furnishing us with a flawless example of poor/low key strawman argument. Just like the conversation below. Motorist := why do you extort money from drivers? Police officer = : is a personal decision,, is a mindset! Motorist= how do you mean?? Police Officer= some do that.. Some don't. Motorist = you mean you don't engage in such act? Police officer = yes!!! Motorist = wow, Daz good. Police officer= thank you Motorist =but d number of them (extortionists) seems to be higher than the good ones... Motorist = what can d government do to stop the illegal extortion? Police officer= like I said young man,, it's a personal decision. Motorist = don't you think a working/strong governmental institutions can serve as a check to powers of the uniform men, like the provision of cctv cameras at police check point? Police officer = it is an invasion of our privacy, we will not take it!! You're the police officer, the fact that you can go out there and toast a guy doesn't mean other ladies can do the same, because you find it cool when your toasters tell you *I WANT TO FVCK YOU* instead of the USUAL *can we be friends*??... does not mean other ladies will do the same. Just like the police officer, you ended up not offering any suggestion, like how other ladies can take the BOLD step of making the first move amongst others. |
