handoffire: You are okay with JFK. It is hard to get to Missouri directly from Nigeria. Your closest stop would have been Chicago using British Airway which is probably cheaper than AIRMAROC. Juat say its easier and cheaper for you to stop in New York before taking domestic flight to Missouri. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Pepperoni001: Why did you choose EIU? remove that I came across it on usnews. Speak with assurance and confidence. Please go and do serious research about your school and how the program you are going for is uniquely offered. What will this skill do for you? It is looking better but is not perfect until you talk about how it reflects on your job directly. Stop being generic. 2 Likes |

My F1 interview is in few days Admitted to study MBA and MS in Information Technology Management I wrote to several schools but only applied to one and got admitted. I got GRE waiver because of a Masters i took in ABU 10years ago. I got 7.0 in IELTS. 1 attempt and not interested in rewriting. I am a frequent traveler to US and hold a valid 2 years visa now. Presently, i have a valid Canadian, UK (10 years) Visa, I have travelled to over 10 countries(schengen, China, Dubai, Saudi) but visas expired. No police record nor overstay my stay in any country. Not married. No kids. In my 30’s. I am sponsoring myself and have the total money stated on I-20(tuition, accommodation and feeding required in my account. No scholarship/assistantships. I have my bank statement. I have a job and got study leave with pay. My strong ties to Nigeria are my, family, houses, lands, shares and my job. Also, i have a consulting company and have printed Certificate of Incorporation and bank statement. I intend to be very brief with my answers to the consular. 1. Please, what questions do i expect and possible answers. 2. I intend to go with my previous passports(3), I-20, SEVIS, ds-160 confirmation, visa fee receipt, statement of account, payslip, study leave letter from work, school certificates. WHAT OTHER DOCUMENTS DO I GO WITH? 3. Suggestions are welcome. Thank you. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

widdy: Likely questions? What will this course do for you? Why are you going for a Masters now? Why a second Masters degree? Why this school? What other schools did you apply to? What would you be doing after your Masters.. I think with proper prep and drilling you'll do very well. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Brown2Green: Why a second masters? The first masters didnt align with my professional career of the last 10years. Having started a consulting company, the knowledge deficit of technical, managerial and business was glaring and needs to be addressed for my career growth and to propel my consulting firm to a world class. Why the Uni? The combination of MBa with Information Technology with a competency research laboratory, one of the two Universities that have such in America. Also, the cost is affordable as compared to the location of the other school. Other schools: wrote to a few but applied to one and got admitted! After graduation: The company i work for is co-sponsoring me and i have signed a bond to return to work for them upon graduation....letter to support the contract! 1 Like |

widdy: Nice response. Why this University? Your response is not complete. You must give reasons why the lab is the best . look for more points. This question is very very important You can PM me of you need personal drilling. |

Good day everyone, please I have a question. I have my interview scheduled for July 15. However, my Sponsor's bank statement, which I submitted for my I-20 processing, is for a month period (April 15 to May 17). Can I take this same statement, knowing it would be about 2 months old by then? Must the bank statement be up to date as at the time of interview? PS: The bank statement covers such a short period due to the consistent massive cash flow. That one month period alone spans 32 pages. So printing for more than a month would be tantamount to printing a textbook. 1 Like |

Tohajan: You have a good cash flow which is very great. But the VO wants to see the cash flow over a greater span than just a month. Wants to be sure your sponsor is consistently having such cash flow not just a one month period of activity. I think it shouldn't be less than 3 months. 1 Like |

zeeLady: I just hope this trend of hoarding vital information for other aspirants doesn't continue. If you run a Facebook search for "MS in US groups", you'd be surprised at the number of present and aspiring Indian students active on them. I personally learnt so much from there which helped in my preps for the GRE, TOEFL, SOP, and visa interview. We really need to see how these guys post their visa transcripts there. Please guys it doesn't hurt to provide any vital info that could help others in their prep for this journey. Kudos to @LagosismyHome, @Brown2Green, @Bracelum, @Time2win, and other really helpful members here. 13 Likes 1 Share |
