Barca Fans mostly preferred Portugal to win this inorder to prevent VVD an edge over Messi for Ballon d'or since Ronaldo has nothing to offer this season apart from hattricks

Besides, over d past 10 years I have noticed that Portugal football federation is one of d best and organized....They employ quality coaches and replaces the aged players with immidiate effect with lesser known talents that would play to d top.

They organizes friendlies that helps their growth as well unlike Argentina FA filled with politics,their coaching appointments are absurd(bunch of clueless tacticians) and they hardly replace their old heroes effectively. I can assure you that They haven't gotten d perfect ones for Riquelme,Veron,Mascherano,Tevez and co.

Having bunch of top strikers packed in one team with no real superstar in d middle ,back or between d post can't and will never win it for Messi and Argentina....
