This was Ronaldos first season in serie A at age 34 and he still made top 3 top scorers and played less games than any of the top ten players...and still win best player in serie A in his first season

For your information, Messi wasn't given the award because he won Laliga, but simply because we was the highest goal scorer in laliga and Europe (2010), same with Ronaldo in 2013.
