Guys , Good morning all . Quick one pls. My Bro wanna book KLM for me, he said Ethiopian airline and Egypt air maybe very frustrating for me being a first time long distance traveler . But I think I've seen it here on the forum where someone made mention of transit visa or so. Cuz the KLM I got will pass through Detroit (USA) I'd appreciate a bether explanation on the transit visa issue pls, regarding UK and US, I've made effort to check online , but I would appreciate better explanations here. Thanks |

OptimusPrime21: He's not concerned about the cheap aspect , but comfort . He said those middle East airlines will first fly a long distance to their country and the embark on anothe trip to the main destination. He said it can be frustrating and annoying |

Kishkosh: Transit (C) visas are nonimmigrant visas for persons traveling in immediate and continuous transit through the United States en route to another country. You will definitely need a transit visa if you are passing through USA. I will recommend using Lufthansa* layover in frankfurt and then straight to Canada. You don't need a transit visa to transit through Germany. Save yourself the stress. All the best and safe journey in advance. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by Mudicua: 11:03am On Jun 10, 2019 |
True. Any international flight will leave Nigeria and go their hubs first before going to the final destination. Except it is a direct flight to the country (e.g BA to UK direct, Delta direct to US, Canada Air direct to Canada). Ethiopian will take you to Addis first before going into Canada, with a brief stop in Dublin... (but you will not come down) Same applies for Emirates.... first to Dubai, before transiting you to Canada. Truth is you will not get any direct flight that comes cheap. KLM will go to Amsterdam first before transiting to Canada. I am surprised the flight will have to go into US. I do not know how that works though or why it is so. But if the funds are not a problem, KLM, Lufthansa is nice. Air France (not so cool), Ethiopian air is also cool (if you do not mind the distance). Same with Emirates and Qatar. (comfortable, but very long) Some people I know have used Ethiopian, Egypt and Maroc (for the price)... (Ethiopian is still more favored amongst these 3). But if it is comfort, then KLM, Lufthansa, BA. (with plenty money) Kishkosh: 3 Likes 3 Shares |

For the UK, you won't be needing a transit visa if you won't be leaving the departure lounge of the airport. For the US you WILL need a transit visa. Please don't go through the US for any reason. You could use Ethiopian airline Economy Flex, or whichever you choose. Just tell the agent you use that you don't want route through countries that require transit visa: US, Switzerland etc. Modified: I'll suggest Emirates, their service is topnotch; and Lufthansa. Or you could still do Ethiopian airline Business class. Kishkosh: 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Please leave Royal Air Maroc. Their racism and unprofessional behaviour is on another level. If you want cheap, use Ethiopian airline. OptimusPrime21: 2 Likes |

Fame2me79:You need to research for samples of SOP/LOE online and develop something on your own, afterwards you can ask someone to peruse it for you and make corrections/recommendations, no one will develop an SOP for you, you wear shoes and of course knows where it pinches. 2 Likes |

Tlontin, OptimusPrime21, Mudicua, ralfudoh, guys I forgot to include this in my email: if you're going to the colder regions of Canada e.g Winnipeg; some parts of Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, & Alberta, you'll need thermal clothing (read underwear). Please endeavour to buy them, bargain well o. Cheers. PS: this is also a message for everyone. 8 Likes 2 Shares |
