Sincerely, BC is the worst examining body I have seen in my life. This is my 7th week since i requested for remark, yet no update, no response to mails, and calling them is like using basket to carry water(futile effort)!

I wish I never knew them. embarassed

In my experience, if you're in Lagos, the best way to get answers from BC is to visit their office. Moreover, as a friend made me know, remark does take time.

I was a bit concerned. I expected them to state the duration. But a friend said not to worry as there is no post secondary diploma in canada that is less than one year.

Elders in the house, what do you think? (OND EVALUATED AS POST SECONDARY DIPLOMA without stating the duration as a two years diploma, should i be worried?
Folar2:

Thank you. That mean its not stated as 2 year diploma like WES will normally do.. or do you think it can mean same?

Really, I have seen this in people's IELTS stories. I have also had to consider whether those BC people dey do ojoro. cheesy

But, frankly, it has very little to do with the BC and more to do with the test-takers. Barring any uncommon factor, there's no way anyone will adequately prepare for any exam and not hit his/her target scores. And adequacy doesn't have to be about the quantity of preparation. It's the quality that matters.

Of course, I know that the IELTS scoring (for the Speaking and Writing modules) is subjective. However, even with the subjectivity, it's quite uncommon to see someone's EOR in Writing, for instance, jump from 6.5 to 8.

I hate to say this, but I strongly believe that the bulk of the problem people encounter with the IELTS exam can be linked to how adequate their preparations were and how they think about the exam. Most people think way too much about it.

While thinking too much about it may be good, there is a thin line between overthinking and fear and anxiety. Fear and anxiety have made many people fail exams they would have otherwise passed.

To those still trying to cross the IELTS hurdle, hang in there! Best wishes.

Yeah but it happens, I have seen from 6.0 to 7.5 in writing though I read it somewhere online

They won't, I should think. I had other employments I stated only in my personal history and which I knew it would be almost impossible to get a reference letter for. And my present ADRs hasn't asked for bank statements or pay slips of those employments. However, these visa officers can be unpredictable.

Thank you sir

Go to wes.org. Check required documents to know what documents are needed from you. Pay the application fees which may be around 60k to 70k. contact your schools to send your transcripts directly to them. When u pay on Wes, you have a reference ID. give this ID to your school coz that how your documents would be identified. If you schooled in Nigeria, you will need to evaluate your WAEC but if u have Abroad 2nd degree, just that degree is enough. Shalom.

Many thanks, cheers

Link to Page 1 (start here instead of Page 2): https://www.nairaland.com/5187408/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled

You'll need to evaluate your degrees/certificates with an ECA body, and then get good scores on IELTS for a start.

Someone please help.

Dealkid:

Hi E-fam, please I requested a remark with idp and copied Australia but I didn't receive any acknowledgement not even an automated one. Is this normal?

This is the email address I used idpieltsaustralia@idp.com
I hope it correct.

Is there any other way to follow up with the remark.

I only copied them but didn't get any acknowledgement so I'm wondering if the email is correct and if they normally don't reply with an automated message. Thanks

Anything can happen. Maybe you should resend emails to IRCC and raise CSEs. As suggested, you can email Ralph Goodale as well. I pray you get a favorable response.
Kindly drop Ralph’s email address. Thank you

There's something shady about BC's marking scheme for IELTS written in Nigeria, and I wish people would boycott them or call them out on it. My sister had 9 9 8.5 in LRS and 7 in Writing. How does someone who had a near perfect score in other components score so in writing? I believe these scores are not a true reflection of the applicant's abilities. It has become a money-grab for BC and its shameful that a supposedly reputable organization will bring itself so low as to focus primarily on profit making.

Hi @johnnybravo1990, when you're submitting your ADR make use of the link provided and the placeholder in your profile. As using the link alone may not reflect that you've submitted additional documents.
Cheers

Sounds a lot like the handwork of AVO. In any case, PPR is close cheesy
1. Get the payslips you can get and put in LOE for the one you can't but ensure you get the bank statement for that one. Of you can, get for the full duration of work (bank statement and payslips), if it won't be possible to get all the payslips, six months is a pretty good number.
2&3. Topsmame.n has already provided this. I just want to add; ensure you access your e-Apr forms first before filling the forms. Make sure the details are an exact replica of each other.

4. Most importantly, start drafting the PPR announcement grin

Thanks sweerie. I’ll take note of all that, especially the last one. wink cheesy

As it is, you still haven't declared that you were once denied a US visa. Please go ahead and raise the CSE and correct the initial error.
