Hi...Yes.
I always see unlocked. What's the meaning of that?
How can I flash the fastboot ROM?

Also, after I restored back to factory settings, it misbehaved for a while say some 1hr. Now, I have used the phone for about 7hrs and its has not hung up or misbehaved again ... Should I still worry?
Just seeing this, it's resolved then

The differences between K20 and K20 pro are just these

1. Snapdragon 730 Vs 855
2. 48Mp Sensor IMX 582 Vs IMX 586
3. Charging pegged to 18w by OEM Vs 27w on the pro.
4. Memory options

Every other thing is the same.
i know i mean ot has same screen with k2pro
in some website there say k20pro uses super amoled but k20 don't
but when i watched a video on YouTube

Yes.. I can see it.. How can I solve this problem. My phone has been handicapped... Someone help me
I thought you said it became stable after you reset your device?
Do you have access to a computer? Because you'll need one to carry out the flashing.

Mention Gptech & GrandMufti to assist with the procedures

I still didn't find Radio Biafra... That means it doesn't get every radio station. It gets some, mostly those that have online streaming, but local channels no!

True. It doesn't get all stations. Only those with online streaming.

you are very funny, all your years of reviewing phones, you are still there assuming about something, can't you check for facts? Or is the phone review done by someone else and posted through your account?

Nope it is not, locked or unlocked bootloader don't contribute in bricking. Some Redmi Note 5 users are just facing some glitches from the recently released ROM

Interesting. So i'm good to go then.

macbeyland:

No, it is still locked. I would advise you to commence the process of unlocking it so that once the global rom comes out, you can flash it via mi flash tool.

I have a recorded video of the process.

I don't plan on flashing Global ROM on this guy. I've not encountered any issues so far and there's nothing i'm particularly missing.

if your phone is 'unlock', try and download the stock rom and flash it through fastboot... that's exactly what I did to mine and it's back to normal... be mindful of the 'flash and lock'

Enjoy your device bro. The Chinese ROM is not bad at all, that's what my pops is currently using on his RN7.

My pc has issue RN..but its something you can do yourself, if willing... you'll need to pay for an authorized account to flash fastboot rom in edl mode..
authorized account self is not needed, patched firehose and qfil works with redmi note 5

Updated via OTA but it won't boot. It says the MIUI version can not be installed on the device.

Wiped data, nothing happened. Rebooted severally and the problem persists. Even used MiFlash and it says the phone is locked (Bootloader). Acekid said I'd have to use testpoint and that's were you came into the discussion. I need help on how to get the phone working again.
if you can open the phone, i can get you the needed file, you need QFIL though, and china stable rom (the phone is definitely china version with fake global rom)
