The only setback Ronaldo has faced in a final for Portugal was back in 2004, when Greece beat them in the 2004 Euro final.

'Junior tournaments' are not regarded as major. When you say 'trophies', I'd like to believe that is grossly exaggerated. Messi only won an under tournament before proceeding to playing for the national side.

I mentioned it before and I'll say it again, history will be unkind to Messi. Club legends are forgotten when another rises in their stead. The most important persons to remember him are Argentines and save he wins a national tournament, the only thing he'd be remembered for is that he shares the same number of Ballon d'Or with Ronaldo, possibly UEFA all time goal scorer record with the same.

For someone who has succeeded at three different countries and doing well at the national level, Ronaldo is the perfect model of present day football.

Don't get me wrong Messi is a great player.. Absolutely phenomenal.. But I still think for him to be regarded as the greatest he would need to leave his comfort zone (Barcelona) and play football elsewhere and let see he would still be as specular.
