Am I the only one that's not impressed with this Wan-Bissaka fella? I watched him several times last season when the hype started, but I didn't see anything special about him. I hope we're not getting scammed paying the rumored £60m for him. That's excessive, IMHO.

Our scouts should look for better options in the range of £30 - 40m just like Rooney suggested.

He seems very good defensively but he has very significant limitation going forward.
Tackling and man marking is enough at clubs like Crystal Palace but top clubs need full backs that are as good going forward as they are at defending.
TAA and Robertson practically serve as auxiliary wingers for Liverpool, and we should be looking for such full backs.
Reminds me of the Heinze vs Evra situation. We should always go for attack-minded fullbacks.

I rather we sign Meunier, he is definitely not as good as AWB defensively but he is miles ahead attacking wise. We could use the energy of Fred in DM to cover for him when he bumps forward.

You've laid out my observations about Wan-Bissaka 100%. Attacking wise, he's very very limited, and when you factor in the fact that modern day full-backs are now auxiliary wingers, you'll get my reservation about the guy.

I don't know why we have scouts or what direction Ole want to take us to - Mourinho's conservative approach or modern football attack style.

Top clubs, from Barcelona to Madrid to Liverpool to Bayern, etc., all have full-backs that push up and serve as auxiliary winger to help the attackers, but yet after studying Wan-Bissaka, Ole is okay with just only defensive stability of his while forgetting that the best way to defend is attack.

I kind of low key wish Crystal Palace would make him too costly for us so we'd consider a much cheaper and better option, but then then again, who's to say Ole won't go for a worse option or stick with Young?

He is good bruv.. But limited offensively. We will really need a good RW to complement him. You know Utd naa. They'll pay up and get him cos it's their first choice while Meunier is second. But £60M is bananas but this is the new in the world of football.

they can stick with Dalot then. a defensive right back in Bissaka and an attacking one in Dalot, and if the fates will it Ashley Young sees no minute of action throughout the season... I fail to see why that's a problem.

At Crystal Palace he will be defending 70% of the time but at a club like Man Utd, we are expected to see more of the ball which means what he can offer at the other end of the pitch is equally important.

For all the stick Young gets, he’s decent defensively.
