Despite the fact that the SE have been faithfully serving the PDP for 20 years now, nothing for the SE.

Ndigbo will be Presided of Biafra Republic in the year 5050.

PDP is just being petty. Why go for rebels of the main party? They did same 4 years ago. They would be paid in their own coin in the future.

you can not expect them to support the anointed candidate of the ruling party. The leadership positions of the house is for the house and not for the majority party alone. Anybody is free to contest and electect candidates irrespective of their party affiliations. Remember their winner takes all slogan. The odd is high. But they have nothing to lose supporting another saraki.

Wrong permutation for PDP. They would have asked their members to vote for their choices. Following the same path APC took. Too late

what is party supremacy?

during your time I mean pdp time

same thing occur and you guys says. nothing about it.....

we know how your obasanjo do changes s.p like slice bread you people were hailing him abi you not dia?

so what bad in party deciding who dia choices is?

dont b an hypocrite sir

Stop comparing apples and oranges in the failed attempt to appear smart. Obasanjo's administration was Nigeria's return to democracy after decades of military rule. It was a learning process. Twenty years after, when democracy is supposed to have been consolidated, do you expect Nigeria to remain on the same spot without improvements and progress? I don't understand how you people reason.

Besides, the last Senate President Obasanjo influenced his emergence was Ayim Pius, thinking that he would be a puppet, but that one change am for am, and since then, Obasanjo and PDP presidents never had ANY influence on the emergence of Senate Presidents. Ken Nnamani and David Mark emerged strictly out of the wishes of their colleagues in the National Assembly.

You can't keep justifying this madness of the executive interfering with the selection of National Assembly leadership using stupid excuses, as if the country's democracy should forever remain stagnant.

After that, Ndume will be picked up by DSS to continue his case on his ties to Book Haram. He will go and join Sambo Dasuki and El-Zakzakky in jail indefinitely. Let's see who will die for him.

That will elevate Ndume to higher level. it will be clear to the world, he is being persecuted for standing up and speaking out in defense of democracy and legislative independence.

Game of thrones!

My usually reliable sources (check my previous comments before dicey political games) told me that BOTH Ali Ndume (who Bukola Saraki crudely disgraced via almost one year suspension and withheld all his entitlements and influenced his removal as Senate Leader because he supported Magu of EFCC) and Umar Bago (a core Buhari boy from their CPC party era) were planted deliberately by APC and its smart/strategic planners with a view to giving PDP false hope!

This morning, Ahmed Lawan, PhD from the UK, and Femi Gbajabiamila, a US-trained lawyer and articulate parliamentarian, will be elected Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives!

APC guys have learnt from the Bukola Saraki error of 2015!

Have you seen this post? Two Northerners endorsed by PDP. My assumption is the South has more PDP senators than the north. One thing politicians do is to play ALL cards against the opposition to eliminate or suppressed their influence or not able to achieve their targets.
As I say in the other thread, do not be caught in the web of this politicians when they are playing their cards against the most influential or ruling party.

What PDP does is to use south East to get votes and remain relevant but hardly consider them when they want to give positions. Well, they have failed in this mission because Lawal and gbaja have already emerged as senate president and Speaker respectively. They are only few hours away from the confirmation.
and how would their emergency affect the brown roofs in ogbomosho and Ibadan ?
