Pays if; 1. Your occupation aligns with degree (Masters) or 2. some one with BSc and like 10yrs Work Experience or 3. If the person have relative there (that’s 20 whooping points). Joromi12: |

I also had a bigger disparity in my ages too. Infact, the age on my first certificate is different from that of my second. I grew up with my dad and the age I was using was different from the one my mom gave me when we reconciled. So I started using my new age. Basically what I did was to swear an affidavit saying some of my documents have different ages. Along with this affidavit, I will write a letter of explanation to the differences. I think that's just what you should do as well. Then as regards wes, I faxed my certificates including my new age affidavit correction so that they won't have doubts and know what I prefer to use. Hope the idea helps. [Qquote author=kemtybemty post=79229806]Dear All, Trust you are having a good day. I have been reading up a lot about the Express Entry from here and would like to seek your advice. My husband, who is not the PA, has a mistake on his WAEC result. Instead of Feb 4, it is showing June 25 but it is the same year. We have gone to WAEC office and he was told that the possibility of it being rectified is slim because it has been over 17 years. I am confused as to proceeding with his WES evaluation and the EE profile when we create one. What should we do? Thank you for your help.[/quote] 1 Like |

beeodun: GRACE!!!! Mic check…check! Ink check…Check!... Audience check…check! Gist check…CHECK! The BIG Mail is here Fam…PPR is a banger. All Glory be to God. HE is God all by himself! Ok, so if you aren’t into long stories, kindly scroll down to the very bottom for the abridged version in bullet points BUT ermm, if you’re like me -gist lover of life- please gather round, adjust glasses, cross legs, just do all you must to get comfy and enjoy my TESTIMONY! PRELUDE GIST Me ehnnn, is like I was not born for this Naija; even my folks do say it’s like dem no suppose born me for here-LOL but I thank God o. Sometime in mid ‘2017, I came across someone that came into our office that day and one thing led to one thing and he mentioned he could help with Masters in Canada...my ears shot up straight (BG: I refused to do Masters when my parents were begging me then because I wanted it done in the abroad-Shebi if I had done it then, it would have saved me a LOT; emphasis on LOT but oh well….) He pitched the M.Sc Research route that could save me tuition and all. Fast forward, paid him some money while I packaged my SOPs and all. Infact, I started to kinda pack in my head as I had a timeframe to leave Naija…Chaiii I don try o because lest I forget, back in 2011, I won Visa Lottery and PopMan even took me to do passport sharpaly like mheen I was on my way out or so I thought until we learnt they scrapped it that same year! Hmmmmmm…the word “over-painfullest” doesn’t suffice (Excuse my Linguistic License at play). Anyways, story story, couldn’t get a supervisor to sponsor me and up till today, I sha don’t know where in Canada (or elsewhere) that Uncle is. Good thing though, he at a time mentioned we could also try this EE route (that was my first time hearing it but just didn’t appeal to me the way he briefly explained it). So, when it became obvious that I couldn’t reach him anymore to even know how far (he just went sick “permanently’), I remembered that EE thingy that involves IELTS (we had to just get band 7 as he so put it & Evaluation). I ‘woke’ hubby up and enrolled for May 2018. Prior to this, the guy sef don too hype me say na simple test and he knows I will easily get band 7 which was all we needed so imagine my confidence into the exam; I only read/showed hubby the links BC sent after registering and IELTS Liz for Speaking (which the guy told me to google) and results came as LRWS: 7,7,7,7.5 . It was after the exam and trying to get onboard with paying WES that I understood from NL (about late Part 3/Part 4) that the result wasn’t sufficient moreso Hubby’s was 6.0. I just got weak and ranted here; got epic responses from @stonecoldface, @Fresty and @Teecan and that opened my eyes to read the thread and then I UNDERSTOOD. Summary- I wrote 4 times in total and hubby thrice. I never remarked as I didn’t know earlier and when I did, I felt the points won’t have sufficed. IELTS NUGGETS Hard to explain in detail all I did in each section but my 2kobo is, it’s best to first get comfortable- really comfortable with the English Language in all forms. I say this because the test is basically about your knowledge of English in diverse forms; synonyms, paraphrasing, creativity, great sentence structures and the likes. I mean how else can you “show off” (albeit appropriately) this knowledge of their Language without these? LOL. I found Jay via youtube search and He na my man for IELTS any day. It’s also important that you understand what works for you. I for one did not “practice” Writing. What I did was to watch and really digest Jay’s videos, specifically, the one that has to do with “Getting above 7” or so and that helped changed my W from 7.5 to 8 on the last 2 attempts. Some howeer know that what makes them better is writing, identifying the mistakes and getting corrected. Just be honest with yourself and maintain the path that helps you achieve the desired result. L was a challenge because I too like story joh so I was usually listening to the gist rather than listen for answers. I had to really work on concentration and MAPS; this was Hubby’s strong point and his tutoring on those helped a lot. More importantly, I believe in God; hence I never joked with committing my efforts to His hands. It paid off las las. MIRACLE ‘MINI-PPR’ After maxing out IELTS, scores were still at 437 and hubby vehemently refused to write again after the 3rd attempt (infact, the other attempts he made sef were by diverse physical, mental and spiritual techniques-- Trust me when I say it was one heck of an emotional rollercoaster! He felt it was scam on one hand, and he ‘wasting’ cash on the other. I truly understood as I was the one that paid for all 7 exams due to the because his business was in the lows this period). So end of 2018, he decided enough is enough, I should just go as “spouse unaccompanying” with CRS 441 and we’ll go the Spousal Route when I land but God knows I DIDN’T want that. He maxing out would have meant the same 441/443. January 2019, we also got the ‘profile ineligible’ message and the little hope I clung to as tie-breaker just went crashing so I grudgingly accepted and created new profile as non-accompanying and the following week or so I got NOI from Ontario! Kai, I had mixed feelings ooo but I knew what had to be done. I brainstormed with my personal peeps @Ramj & @Mcstan18 and in the end, we went with hubby and Mcstan’s angle: just submit for OINP rather than chilling for CRS to come down (guess what: it never did/hasn’t- at least to that figure) and even though I nursed a little fear, arising from past comments of OINP taking like 3 months, I believed and asked for miraculous approval on the last day of the HALLELUYAH CHALLENGE and yeah that evening, I received my OINP nomination…in 24days! Chaiii, the way we praised God that day ehnnn, this was our Golden Mail Part 1 abeg. While all these was going on, I kept disturbing my personal peeps as well as Oga Joo on whether to change profile before OINP submission or after nomination; it was so disturbing and even after getting replies to my mails from Ontario, the answer wasn’t still clear so eventually just left it like that till after nomination, I then changed profile to spouse accompanying before “accepting” the nomination! After that time, they just paused issuance of NOIs till late May or so. It would have really altered plans so for that I bless God. ECA THINGS ECA with WES went very well between July-August 1, 2018 without WAEC hassles and got contact from I think, @Distinct77 to help with hubby’s. Thanks again dear. MEDICALS This was one area I was so worried about PRE-ITA. I read a moniker having issues during medicals about weight of LO and I was in panic mode seeing as I had preeclampsia before delivery resulting in my MIRACLE BABY with weight of way less than 1kg at birth (another testimony for off-thread); I’m sure you can imagine my worry. I booked Medicals with IOM, they wanted to pull one on me but I sent a firmly worded mail to them and got my retained date of March 6, 2019. Medicals went well and despite my fears on having her weight and my past pose issues, it didn’t. We just got in and she was all shades of friendly and chatty, I explained all to the Doctor while chatting and that was it. OTHER DOCS POF: LOE showing breakdown of funds + Notarized Gift Deed from Dad’s company + Transfer Evidence of Gift + Screenshot of XE.com & Oanda.com conversion of funds+ Letter from Bank in CIC Format. Just my Savings Account (No TB or the likes). WORK: Reference letter in CIC Format (Boss was very helpful) + ID Card + Most recent Payslips (3 months). Claimed 1 job with duration of 4 years SILVER MAIL Same day, we went to Studio 24 for the required photographs and then to Alagbon for PCC with the Lady Funke for 7k for hubby and I. Thanks @ilekz Later that evening, we received the Silver Mail we had been waiting on for MONTHS! ITA came through. Just had to fine-tune some documents and sent application on March 11, 2019. I had earlier, as learnt from here, categorized each document and renamed accordingly. The amount of screenshots I have from this thread ehnnn. LOL. It really helped peeps. POST-AOR Nothing so eventful asides the usual waiting and anxiety that comes with the package. Just when I resolve not to check account/mail for like a week, hubby will just be on my case: how far?! If me sef be IRCC Agent, I for don ask am: Oga how far you sef, calm down na. OL. Yeah lest I forget, had to raise 1 CSE the very next day. In the excitement to submit amidst activities at work that day, I didn’t submit the LOE I had prepared. I could have skipped it as I did a short cover page of few sentences for each category but unfortunately, the POF part that was the main to me wasn’t there and I needed them to understand that the Gift from my Dad was from his Company account (not personal). Also, one day at work (April 4, 2019), I was just going through my “Canny Book” and was just directed to see that my Personal History on OINP and EE Applications didn’t match. I wanted to leave it but for peace of mind, raised CSE and explained it as an oversight. I was so angry with myself thinking I had my application neatly and well arranged for hope of speedy processing (unto simple application na). I just tried to commot mind and hope for the best regardless. It was until after BIL that I started getting anxious moreso, Parents just have this subtle yet worrying way of asking “how far”. Anyways, Popsy practically “forced” me to call IRCC when I was at their place on June 5, 2019 and was told ALL was completed except 1 aspect of BG check. Well, that was refreshing to hear and for some reason, I felt so strongly that PPR will come in next day (don’t ask how lol). Ok, let me tell you, I had a dream that night and when I woke up, the only thing I remembered or was in my head was JUNE 6 & JUNE 11. Didn’t know what those dates meant but in hindsight, I do as 2 significant things happened; one of which you now know. I went to camp this past Friday and ohhh, I Praised God like I had all I wanted. He is Faithful. COMING THROUGH…Golden Message Oh, never have I seen such a beautiful electronic message. So many signs whispered/screamed at me immediately I woke up this morning and I resolved to wait till exactly 2pm our time to check mail. I dey office dey watch 9th Assembly/Drama proceedings and didn’t know when 2pm waka reach like 10mins. Immediately I saw the time, I jumped up, opened mailbox and there IT was…smiling sexily, beckoning with eyes so alluring; “come read me Babe, I’ve been here for like 20minutes now na”. Ehnn who am I to ignore? Sharpaly, I moved closely, opened, READ, READ and READ again. Brethren, I just SMILED. Kaii, smile so brooooaddd. I read my personal PPR mail. Congratulations Babe, God be Praised!!!!!!!!!! It still feels so surreal; like I’m just gentle and humble all of a sudden. ACCOLADES I really must appreciate every “asker” and “answerer” on this thread; they have in one way or the other helped me on this journey. My darling Fresty- just rose from this thread to be a fine sis carrying my matter all those times I was feeling down PRE-ITA at various stages of rants and worries. Shey you see those wonderful contacts you gave me at different times ehn, those two guys were soooooooo helpful at different stages. Na dem be MEN. My special Sir M and Sir T, (don’t think they are here or I don’t know their monikers) I truly appreciate you and pray sincerely that y’all will never lack help when you need it. In a bit, we’ll joyfully “meet” in our new country. God bless your kind hearts. Personal accolades to my Je m’appelle Ramj and Joo2018; you guys (though it took my reading Joo’s PPR story to convince myself he’s a HE-Lol) were very patient with me. From NOC to Gift Deed to OINP add spouse sagas et al. God bless you guys real good. @Stonecoldface and @Teecan, your responses to me when I just joined this thread remain fresh in my mind; thanks for the “straight talks”. To my no-Arts friend @Mcstan18, God bless you for all you do and in ways you won’t be able to explain, your PR will fall on you sharpaly. @Barryston, Padi since “06 and counting, see you in a bit dear. So grateful this thread ‘reunited’ us o. Thanks for all the help. @02, thanks for your guidance when I wanted to try out for Manitoba then. @ilekz, my almost ONIP brother, good banters we had POST AOR, see you in Canny soon dear; so rooting for you. @ladymarshall, thanks personally for all our NOC permutations POST-AOR and links for a better life off NL and yeah, for your invaluable works here as well; oya catch ya Golden Mail. For all the times y’ALL here made me giggle, go emotional, think, shocked, LAUGH, inspired, and wonder at your selflessness (you know yourselves), I say a Humongous Thank You! Some monikers are just stuck in my head for life mheen. SIGNING OUT I hope with these lengthy yet not so verbose stories, I hope I’ve been able to encourage, inform and even maybe entertain you on my journey enroute Canada (my & our new country). Sorry if on the contrary I bored you with many words; oh well, just take it as PPR story. See y’all soon in Canny because it’s as sure as today is June 11th that you’ll be in Canada soon. Deuces!!! I'm baffled a bit about the NOC points... If i have 2 different NOCs which spans over 3 years work experience (1st NOC is 2yrs and 2nd NOC is 1yr), which one am i gonna claim points for during my application or when I'm simulating my CRS score or is it both so far i can get their respective reference letters? |

mobenjackson: I asked a similar question recently....my understanding is that you can choose either NOC as your primary NOC...you may want to choose the NOC that may be in-demand in any of the provinces, depending on how high your CRS is though. So long as your work experience is over 3 years and you can provide reference letters for them, no issues even if they are in multiple NOCs. They must be O, A or B sha. Good luck. |
