Good day justwise please I recently applied for a US visiting visa on a virgin passport and was declined
The idea is to relocate with my family. I am married with 2kids, and I work with a multi National with a salary of about 6figures.
The idea is to relocate to either USA or CANADA with my family.
Bro an advice from you will go a long way.
Tnx

Check Canada Express Entry to immigrate (relocate) to Canada. No one cares about your Virgin passport if it is Express Entry. Goodluck

Morning,

Did anyone try to call UKVI on
+442034811736 yesterday and was able to talk to someone?

Reason I am asking is because I tried calling but wasn't able to talk to anyone.

Thanks

steel101:
I picked up my passport today and six months Visa was granted.

Below is the time line:

23rd April: Did biometrics at TLS office Ikeja.

23rd April: Visa application transferred to DMC.

1st June: Sent an email to UK Visa requesting status of Visa application.

3rd June: Received an email from UK Visa informing me that a decision has been reached and that I will receive an email from the VAC with respect to passport pick-up.

3rd June: Received an email from TLS informing me that my document is ready for pick-up.

3rd June: Received another email from TLS that my document has been dispatched via DHL.

6th June: DHL attempted delivery but I was not around. Document was returned to their office.

Note: I used self service and no Visa agent was utilised.

Thank God for His favour.

Hello @justwise steel101 and all the expert in the house.

I have a couple who I am not related to in anyway. They have been nice to me in church and I in turn wants to sponsor their honeymoon in the UK with 3Million naira.

My question is
1. can I just give them the money sent to their account.
2. Give them my 3 or 6 months statement of account and a cover letter stating that I am sponsoring the trip as a gift to them.
3. What are their chances of getting the visa since the husband can only afford about 300k on his own to spend on this trip.
4. Sending the money to the husband account might raise a red flag since he might not have enough convincing proof to defend that huge funds to his account.

I really want to make their martial journey sweet.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Jyyes: 10:41am On Jun 12, 2019
That’s a kind gesture. However, I don’t think they will be approved for visa, for reasons that as a couple that wants to visit the U.K., they are expected to be financially strong enough to undertake the trip without a sponsor. Lodging an amount that is unusual in his account is a red flag, sponsoring a couple who do not have strong ties (i.e, business, properties, reasonable savings in bank) in their home country is also a red flag. As a married couple at the age of 30 and above, the VO expect you to meet certain criteria, which is being independent at all level. It gives the VO’s reasons to believe that their economic circumstances in Nigeria does not meet the requirements for an entry clearance, hence if giving the opportunity to enter the U.K. they will likely not leave at the end of their intended visit. I think sponsorship works better for young people 25 years and below, and old people 55 and above.

MY APPLICATION IS EEA FAMILY PERMIT

TO @justwise and the gurus in the house

I will like to ask if this is normal I submitted my application and got my passport back after 16 working days, with my family permit granted.

In April 9th I submitted that of my dependant and till date I haven't heard anything back.

However in April 30 i received a mail saying application wasn't straightforward. I called and case was escalated.

Till date nothing from them. My sister in the UK who is the sponsor called this morning and she was told that application has been reviewed but decision not made

Is this normal? Has anyone had a case like this or knows anyone who has had a similar case.

It's been 3months since my permit was granted 3 months left to expiration date I can't leave my children.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Hello House,

Please on the section for "total amount of money you get in a year", please assist in what to write.

I have investments of 500,000 so I have ticked "Investment. So do I have to add this investment with the interest to my annual salary and provide in that field?
Or I only have to write my annual salary in that field?

Please clarify

Ok.

Mine has been decided, but there's been no mail (generic or not) for me to come and collect. The processes still show red on TLS application tracking.

I put a call across to them this morning. They asked me if i received a mail that says the processing of my application was not straight forward and I said yes. Then i was informed that a decision hasn't been made but would hopefully be made be by next week Thursday. So in my calculation, I think the 15days started counting when I received the generic mail on May 30th. We all hope for the best.

Can they sponsor themselves without your money?

Hello Everyone,

Kudos to those answering questions here. Please, I have some questions too. It is about two weeks before the stated visit to UK and visa is not yet out. Considering the increasing price of flights, what are our options?

No, the husband only has 300k residual cash for the trip

Then their chances of getting a visa is almost zero. They need a miracle to convince the ECO that a complete stranger is dropping his 3M for them to spend on honeymoon

Happy Sunday house. Please dear house for those of you that recently got visa this month. And submitted application around April. I will like to confirm if there is any UK seal on it? I just saw a friend's visa and it did not look like my previous visa sticker, in all my visa I do av round seal from the UK home visa but I am not seeing it on this visa. Any body collected his or her own to compare. The person in question submitted application around April 16, how comes is it showing from 18/07/19. We are still in the month of June. How come is home office putting July?. Please I will appreciate recent pictures of UK sticker from those that just got visa. Many Thanks.

Though I applied from Ireland though... cos I school here in Ireland..

My brother I don’t understand what people think about visiting abroad, that money will change their whole story in the next 5 years if they diligently plan a business with it, but they rather want to visit U.K. and come back to the same level they have been in. Exactly why VO’s find it hard to believe that they will ever come back to Nigeria.

To be honest a lot of people in UK don’t even save 3 million naira in a year.... Vacation is for comfortable people so don’t ever put yourself in financial hardship just because of a 2weeks trip. Be financially stable before thinking of vacation and if overstay is your plan... it’s not like the 90s ooo it’s not easy anywhere

You will be asked in your visa form several questions INCLUDING things like if you have been banned, deported, asked to leave or refused a visa or entry from any country... well if you don’t speak the truth, like many others you will be found out...
the punishment afterwards is something about 10 years ban.
However, deportation from one country does not ban you from applying for a visa from another country.
