Both are properties of the federal government... So what's different? By the way, there's an already existing MKO Abiola Stadium in Ogun State, what's the use of naming another stadium after him if not foolishness?
Unilag is already an established institution with alumni’s all over the world who have certificates that say Unilag. How will someone wake up one day and decide to change the name? A national monument is much better. Shame on GEJ. It shows his lack of ability to think critically despite claiming he is a PhD.

All I am saying is that the Igbos are being left behind politically and I for one am not happy about that because I believe the Igbos can do better...... somehow I believe an ignore man is the solution to our economical issues.
The igbo have a crop of resilient and intelligent people not filled with hate for other Nigerians of other ethnic extraction and I believe if these crop of people are now given a chance, will go back to the drawing board and forge a credible effective opposition like Awo did in the first republic.

Guy your own hardship is a curse because during previous regimes you weren't any better than you are today, So stop blaming Buhari and go for Deliverance.

Idiot am not going through any hardship but a sane person will know the country has worsened under PMB high cost in everything, very low employment rate is it that you have been cursed not to say the truth even if hardship is hitting you. Go out in the streets then just pick ten people and ask how the country has been since 2015 then bring us your honest answer.

So many educational institutions have changed names in Nigeria and heaven didn't fall. Unilag wouldn't have been different. By the way, I'm also an Alumnus of Unilag and any name change wouldn't affect my certificate. Jonathan did the right thing but hateful Yoruba people took to the streets in protest. There are other cases too. Jonathan removed subsidy and increased fuel price, hateful Yorubas took to the streets and occupied everywhere. Jihadist Buhari did the same and hateful Yorubas cheered and clapped in admiration. Yorubas are the problem with Nigeria.

The Igbo don't really need any apologize from anyone. This victimized mentally is why Igbo are where they are politically today. The Igbosecond used to have influence politically I am still trying to understand what happened to the Igbo tribe politically.

the igbos do not need any "apologize" from any one indeed

History will be kind to PMB; the president who finally healed the June 12 would. Obasanjo would be agonizing shamelessly in pain wherever he is today. The senate in 2003 passed a resolution naming the Abuja stadium after MKO but Obasanjo refused to implement the resolution.

Jonathan also had the opportunity of implementing that resolution but he opted to play to the gallery by naming University of Lagos after MKO thereby reducing him to a Yoruba hero despite the fact that he payed the ultimate price for Nigeria’s democracy.

Nice point.

The perpetrators of June 12 saga are all working free from IBB to Al-Mustapha without Yorubas calling for their prosecution.

What actually will the naming of a Stadium or holiday change when the people that committed the crime is working free and are even the one giving them free holiday and the naming, that is tantamount to dancing unclad on Abiola grave and those they killed. This is what they called Greek gift from the Trojans, Is it not supposed to be a mourning day and they are eating shaki and dancing owambe.
i hope this is not what you actually implement in your life o. Cos smart people know you only fight battles you can win. Sha

How about the memory of those like Late Chief SL Akintola, Alhaji Tafawa Hello, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello killed by the igbo-dominated mutineers. Let's be fair to others wink The northerners till date believed that the murder of their first set of leaders left an irreparable damage on their generations till date.

let us then have a comprehensive reconciliation then..

so that generations after can move on

There's already a tertiary institution named after MKO Abiola. Let's say the truth GEJ goofed. I recall the Abiola family was even embarrassed by the action of GEJ. It's not about the Yoruba, it's respecting the man's sacrifice to the nation.

if after all these, some people still believe that it is not possible for Buhari to handover to Yoruba man in 2023, then the person must be blind.
Buhari cannot hand over power to whoever he wants. We're not running a dictatorship in Nigeria. Nigerians will vote the candidate of their choice and it isn't going to be a Yoruba man

Buhari's government is legitimate. Stepping down is not a part of righting a wrong. Because Buhari's government is not a wrong until proven otherwise.

As far as things stand presently, Buhari cannot right a wrong by stepping down for Kingibe. We gave him our mandate. We didn't give him so that he can dash someone else.
.
That good. Nigerians also gave Abiola and Kingibe their mandate in 1993. So what is going 2 happen 2 that mandate& d sacrifice Abiola made to keep that mandate alive? Is buhari not enjoying d sacrifice that Abiola made? Y can't he sacrifice his own so that d June 12 mandate can b actualised? And if u remember vividly, buhari recognised June 12 last year b4 d elections. So there was enough time 4 him to make d arrangement for him 2 step down as part of "righting d wrong"
