1)Still can't download my update , (always saying I should use Wi Fi)

2) Downloaded Theme doesn't work on the phone

All boils down to preference, personally I always go with global ROM/version because I simply love the way notifications are handled with the global ROM but chinese version/roms are always quick to get updates and they seems to have some many nifty features which are lacking in the global ROM/version.

Chinese version also have limited bands than the global version especially when you are using MTN with their dual 4G bands, could pose a big challenge if the band available in your location is the band 20 which the Chinese version lacks.

All in all, it all boils down to preference as these roms can be interchangeable if one so wishes.
hope the Chinese version supports all the 3g band in Nigeria?

I hope Xiaomi are not trying to limit the k20 pro to only China and India, would make sense for them as they don't want to kill the mi 9 but a big loss to other potential customers outside these regions. cry

Did you see anything concerning customs when you tracked with Nipost? Share a screenshot of your tracking

i was unable to track on Nipost website because of the phone am using to keep up to date on Niraland new whicj is the old nokia C3, and track24 is the only website that can open on my Nokia C3 opera mini, and checking the movement info on track24 website there is no update or any info about custom intercepting the package... So i cant take a screenshot on the phone,

lol, baba no get time for long talks... So you are not concerned about the 4G? You need to be concern oo, cause most of theses our ISPs are not really reliable, is like they are now moving their 3G speed to 4G, hence making 3G to have the same speed of 2G/EDGE.

I don't know why some users of redmi note 5 are having issues updating their devices to Android 9, am a bit sad because they are missing out on this wonderful transformation of the note 5, the update even improves the screen clarity n it seems like buying a new phone altogether
"Improved screen clarity"? Are you for real? The new pie display colour is horrible. Have already seen similar complaints on Miui forums...Still don't get what you guys find enjoyable about those colors. Oreo colours were better...I mean, get another RN5 still on Oreo and make a side-by-side comparison with the one on pie, and then judge for yourself.
Found an app on XDA to make some tweaks on the pie colours tho. Requires root. Much improvement.

the emmc is internal storage or flash storage, it's on the motherboard, except you get a new motherboard/panel for the phone, it's as good as paper weight. Damaged emmc means it won't respond to flash, you can't wipe, basically anything that has to do with storage is f<cked. I worked on the phone, we paid to get an authorized account to do the edl flashing, flashing that doesn't take up to 10 mins took over 20mins to flash, after flashing phone spent close to an hour booting which eventually failed, wiping data also refuses to work. I believe you should now have an idea of what's wrong with the phone now

If there is no info on customs on your tracking, then you are expected to only post office handling fees of between 500-700 depending on post office

we for naija get luck, worse case scenario na to get mifi for unsupported bands grin , they always try to do things that favours the mi series (it makes more business sense), same thing with pocophone by reducing screen quality and camera quality despite same sensor, now its region specific pricing

most phones nowadays support apps from internal memory only, don't know any apps that can do that now(it was possible then when phones had limited internal storage link2sd and xposed frameworks were some of the hacks then), running apps from memory card will also be slow as most memory card can't match your internal storage speed. Best bet is to get a phone with enough internal memory (32gb, 64gb or more as the case maybe or as the budget can allow)

You are on point. I was about telling him to look for a panel instead of just an eMMC.
