So long as spouse max out ielts which most times is difficult. You don't want to know the drama of pushing an unwilling spouse to study.

I realize that this advice would have served you better before you submitted but I would still go ahead and say this. Its important that you click on the ? icon when uploading your documents to understand exactly what you are required to submit. This would go a long way in forestalling issues like this. A Church marriage certificate is not valid as proof of marriage for EE. You need one from the Court. Your relationship with your spouse for the purpose of EE is best described as common law or cohabitation which is what you should have selected and shown proof that you have been living together

People have used only church certificate and have got their PPR.

You didn't understand the post!

Church marriage certificate are of two types. The one issued in the name of the church and the other one issued by the church on behalf of the govt under the marriage act.

What was presented was the former, what you likely have is the latter.

Hope it's clear now.

My advice, get a documentary evidence from the church that they have been in custody of your govt issued certificate since you married and that what was given to you earlier was the marriage blessing certificate. This way, the VO won't start thinking you've gone to procure a certificate as an afterthought.

With 460, me think writing ielts is a waste of money.

My exact thoughts too. But on this journey time is of the essence. Who knew two months ago that we would be contending with a draw as high as 470. If all he needs to do is to get the bearest minimum to increase the score she can always continue to persuade him so he can write ASAP, but if he has written before and he would need to max out on spousal point I feel waiting till July when he will be psychologically ready will be the best way to go. Hopefully, the coming draws will have come down below 460 before he enrols for the exam. British council and IDP no worth make we dey gift dem money anyhow with how them dey do us for Writing module of their exam undecided.

NOC 6235.

Don't you think 1114 is better suited? I think 6235 should be a fit for a bank marketer and not trade services officer

Good people, especially those who have recently paid for credential evaluation or application fees online.

Kindly confirm bank with best exchange rate for payment in CAD. Definitely not Zenith and GTBank, their rate appears to be the highest.

I used my Zenith Bank card for wes and was debited 61k plus some little change on top. Very far from 62k sef, so I think Zenith is fair.

@ Topsmamen @ifeoma and any one else please how can one include the fact that they were paid cash the first month of their nysc in their reference letter and that they worked at their PPA for only 11months Because bank statements only show transactions for a period of 11months.

Yes, state it in your reference letter that you were paid in cash in the first month of your employment or you indicate this in an LOE.

Hello house. Please i need a clarification. I have gone through alot of threads but it still isn't clear.

My spouse is going to be the PA with LOC 2131, 4 years work experience with ND, HND and BSC and will be 32 this month. My questions goes thus:

1. I understand that doing my ECA will add to his points. Now, do I have to create my ECA acct seperately where I would be required to pay 220CAD and then go through the process of WES which will cost approx 23,00 and 82,600 in total... And then he he would also go through same procedure spending same amount? Ie in total we shall both be spending close to 165k for ECA alone.

Now this is not inclusive of transcript for both of us.

So please, am confused as we are talking about 200k here. Do we have to spend this much on ECA alone.

Your responses will be highly appreciated.

Hello,

Please I need clarification on the Work History section of the eAPR. I am the primary applicant and have entered only the job that I'm claiming points for and included other employment in the Personal History section. Is this the right way to complete the form? Yes, you're on the right track. Also for my husband will we include his employment history only in the Personal History section since he has no Canadian experience. Yes. Personal history only.

Thank you.

Hello my people, wanna ask, while i await my ielts result, I used crs calculator using my first ielts and got 403 points, but after creating a profile, my point is 391. I think it’s from the language side as there’s a difference in the point allocated in the crs calculator and the profile.

Please can anyone help

Weird. CRS tool and EE profile scores should tally. Double check your IELTS scores.

Hello friends, I'd like to confirm something. I was doing some readin and i fame across the concept of "tie break" in ITA stage. I understand there's a date after which only applicants with high enough score who submitted before that date would get ITA.

Wes informed my eca would be ready on 21st. I feel next ita woukd be 26th june. Considering my ielts scores, i shld be in the 478mark. But im scared my eca might not meet up with the tie break. Can i open an ee profile b4 eca comes out

Chill till your ECA is out. With 478, don't even sweat about the tie-break rule. Welcome to Canada bro! Remember? grin

From a registered church...yes. I should have added that anecdote. We need to differentiate between churches (e.g Catholic church) that have legal backing and the one-man church on your street corner that conducted your marriage. A marriage certificate from Assemblies of God church for instance, will not be accepted by CIC. The only church I know that has legal backing is the catholic church and I dont know of anyone personally who has gotten PPR by only submitting a church issued marriage certificate but I can give you instances of people who have been refused on this issue.

Even in Canada, the church will marry you but the official marriage certificate is issued by the government.

Having been a die-hard 9ja fan for 33yrs of my life, I call it quit today.
Please guys, put me through on how to start my own journey as a total novice. Tried reading the last 10pages but I get abbreviations like NOI, NOC, WES ECA PPR etc
Tried the calculation thing and landed at 450 using 8,7,7,7 as ielts score for both me and my wife.
I'm a pharmacist, 33yrs married with a kid, over 5yrs work experience.
Can a kind hearted fellow take the pains of giving me a step by step procedure or point me to a page(s) to read
Thanks
