Greetings
Having been a die-hard 9ja fan for 33yrs of my life, I call it quit today.
Please guys, put me through on how to start my own journey as a total novice. Tried reading the last 10pages but I get abbreviations like NOI, NOC, WES ECA PPR etc
Tried the calculation thing and landed at 450 using 8,7,7,7 as ielts score for both me and my wife.
I'm a pharmacist, 33yrs married with a kid, over 5yrs work experience.
Can a kind hearted fellow take the pains of giving me a step by step procedure or point me to a page(s) to read
Thanks

Page 1 is your new companion. After going through it, you can ask questions to get further clarifications. Men of honor are numerous here and will be willing to help with specific questions.
Bienvenue!

Hello house. Please i need a clarification. I have gone through alot of threads but it still isn't clear.

My spouse is going to be the PA with LOC 2131, 4 years work experience with ND, HND and BSC and will be 32 this month. My questions goes thus:

1. I understand that doing my ECA will add to his points. Now, do I have to create my ECA acct seperately where I would be required to pay 220CAD and then go through the process of WES which will cost approx 23,00 and 82,600 in total... And then he he would also go through same procedure spending same amount? Ie in total we shall both be spending close to 165k for ECA alone.

Now this is not inclusive of transcript for both of us.

So please, am confused as we are talking about 200k here. Do we have to spend this much on ECA alone.

Your responses will be highly appreciated.
Yep! Infact the cost is more than 200k. Don't forget WAEC costs for both of you at 28k each and then add verification costs.
This journey is expensive as heck but it's worth it in the end

Thank you all for your responses but ICES now requests for WAEC certificates as well for Nigeria. I have written a mail to WES to find out their opinion about the error in the date of birth. I am most grateful.

Hello friends, I'd like to confirm something. I was doing some readin and i fame across the concept of "tie break" in ITA stage. I understand there's a date after which only applicants with high enough score who submitted before that date would get ITA.

Wes informed my eca would be ready on 21st. I feel next ita woukd be 26th june. Considering my ielts scores, i shld be in the 478mark. But im scared my eca might not meet up with the tie break. Can i open an ee profile b4 eca comes out
478 and tie break Highly unlikely . Just chill

You will get through this. It's good you're currently studying for the BCS exam, that's progress. Alternatively, you can explore the PNP option.

please what's this BCS exam?

It took me 30mins to read and digest your PPR story.

It actually felt like reading a novel and I am thrilled that this PR journey has made some people to discover their gifts and talents.

Seeth thou a man diligent in his work, he will stand before kings and not before mere men. Thankfully, you were able to adjust your profile to spouse accompany, I am an advocate of that because being together has its own benefits.

For a job well done for a well worded PPR script, I’ll give you 9.5/10.

May the new land favour you and your dreams, hopes and aspirations will not be thwarted.

You have very good chances. Your ND and HND already gives you points for two or more certificates.
Start your ECA ASAP and begin to prepare for IELTS.
Hi lady, Thanks for your response. In addition, do you have a site or a thread where I can read and understand this stuff? Like the overall immigration thing in details? I have no idea how to get ECA (I just googled it now to even know the meaning). Sorry if I bother you thanks I appreciate.

By writing it in a simple LOE. Fortunately, the VOs are very familiar with NYSC by now so you really don't need to sweat it

Please, still on the NYSC experience.
Corps members are paid for 12 months, but they serve for 11 months(including orientation camp).
Will one claim 12months or 11months with NYSC?

Secondly, some states pay corps members monthly allowance, can one include it on the reference letter or LOE. (The state allowance is reflected on the NYSC account)

You didn't understand the post!

Church marriage certificate are of two types. The one issued in the name of the church and the other one issued by the church on behalf of the govt under the marriage act.

What was presented was the former, what you likely have is the latter.

Hope it's clear now.

My advice, get a documentary evidence from the church that they have been in custody of your govt issued certificate since you married and that what was given to you earlier was the marriage blessing certificate. This way, the VO won't start thinking you've gone to procure a certificate as an afterthought.

See if this link is more explanatory. Some things have changed from when this person wrote this: like medical is now more expensive, cut off score is higher etc. To put your simulated score in perspective, last draw was 465 and people are hopeful that it drops further. You can google the trends of the draws this year. Read the link then come and ask specific questions.

I see you have 2 or more degrees and age is on your side. You have what many are looking for. Make hay while the sun shines. Read just to get a general idea, then ask specific questions.

In addition search for your NOC (job classification) using the link contained in the document. NOC for PR must be 0, A OR B

Its possible there is something you are doing wrong...cross check the amount you input in the section for funds. That happened in my own case.

Ancestors..Elders, might have other suggestions. grin
