Beautyaddy: Exactly my point..... So why US embassy complaining of visa misused Genuine applicant will be denied while they issued visa to d wrong side. 2 Likes |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Beautyaddy: 8:54pm On Jun 12, 2019 |
oluayebenz: Hmmm, one can still question that statement. Reason is because a once genuine applicant who was approved the US visa can later turn around due to unplanned circumstances and then decide to misuse the US visa later. Most US visa for Nigerians is valid for two years...and anything can change within that two years to cause that genuine applicant become dishonest. |

i just received my passport from the embassy having done drop box after 2 months in their possession and have been given nearer date precisely June 22 for appointment. Am actually going for a training taking place currently as filled in my ds160. So do i just jettison the interview since the purpose of traveling has been defeated or i should attend?? 123JohnF:THANK YOU! Now, this is the way it should be - factual, specific, verifiable data. Not some lame assumptions to butter up one's story. This statistics shows that about 23% of Nigerian issued B1/B2 visa in 2018 overstayed. 1 Like |

Nope. If I were you I'll go for the interview. Answer the question truthfully as it comes. Whatever the VO decides. ikaboy: |

ikaboy:you are lucky with June 22 interview date. Go, tell me them the honest truth but if you are not in hurry, let the date slide, thereafter write them a mail to revalidate MRV then you will book normal appointment. Best of luck |

tranxo:Not really. Some didn't travel in 2018, take it about 100,000 people or even less, maybe 80,000 or 70,000, we don't see here the arriving statistics and how many were rejected and sent back at arrival, but we have the exact number of Nigerians who didn't return. 1 Like |

ikaboy:If you have the visa already, cancel your interview and travel. No need to waste embassy's and your time, somebody could use your appointment time. |

This is more accurate, it's a border control statistics, go to the page 24 and see Nigeria Expected Departures Total Overstays Total Overstay rate Nigeria 195,785 29,723 15.18% https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/19_0417_fy18-entry-and-exit-overstay-report.pdf According to the report, 195,785 Nigerians that were given visas into the US were expected to leave ”within the above window.” Of this number, Nigeria had 15.18 per cent rate of overstay |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by TWoods(m): 4:03am On Jun 13, 2019 |
Chimezirim1: There is nothing anyone can do. The consulate is saying it already has enough people who have applied for a visa interview than it can handle and does not want to take on anymore. You just have to wait until space opens up. It baffles me why this concept is so difficult to grasp. 2 Likes |

TWoods: Bro if all spaces have already been booked, why does it still say the next available date is Sept. 2019? someone logged in right in my presence and the date choice drop down Calender opened. Does it mean that certain peooke are allowed to choose dates and certain people are not? |

Omo, some friends of mine just got denied visas. Profile : Couple, retired from multinational establishments. Children and grands all live in UK and Ireland Over 50 years travel history. Their first US visas (they were both single then) was in the 70's. They currently hold 10 years UK visas respectively amongst others. To say I'm shocked is an understatement fa 5 Likes |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 4 by Nobody: 3:42pm On Jun 13, 2019 |
obviously:I guess in your visa application you need to answer a question, do you have any family member in US? He/she is your sibling, you need to write his/her name. No need to explain about his/her overstay but if you are asked in the interview, you need to tell the truth. |
