How many complains have you seen? Oga the pros out weigh the complains. People have used these phones for years without issues. There are people on this thread still using their Redmi Note 4x of 2017. I even have a friend that is still using his Redmi Note 3 pro special edition of 2016.

The phones are durable.

There's really no biggie, just a little different.
The pros of the global version is
New users to Xiaomi, full Google access, free themes and no Chinese whatsoever, more lte bands if u travel outside Nigeria,
Cons,... None
The pros of Chinese version is
Debatable superior hardware, 98% Google support, faster updates, and more features
Cons... Chinese is present, paid themes in theme store and limited themes, less lte bands, and not very friendly with new users but can be tweaked to be user friendly (i can do that for u),

mine is with one finger i set notification style as android, not miui. I use xiaomi.eu rom though, it has that option, i think global stable is like that too

@Gptech I tried the flashing but it did not work out. Anytime I put the ROM pack on my phone, it goes off immediately. My phone is still bricked and bootlooping badly.. I am in a lurch...whatelse can I do?

Please ensure you don't select 'clean all and lock option' before flashing to avoid locking back your bootloader and possible bricking if your device is the Chinese version.

I don't use RN7 if you are on the latest ROM check under display settings. At least that is where it is in my Redmi Note 5.

As for theme go to theme app, search for Aafont, Free or Moby fonts, download and apply anyone of your choice.
