And the reality is that, if Mayor doesn't wipe, we won't be able to know the true state of phone as the original IMEI can only be viewed on the phone itself not what you have on the Sim tray.

You said something about you waiting for the matter to be brought here before you can refund him, that's not a sensible thing to say, no offense. We are adults here, all matter should not get to the public before we apply common sense. The reality now is that you would refund McMayor in full and at the same time loose clients, whatever reputation you have is now dented because you want your dirty linen in the public when you could have solved this behind the camera (you've lost both cash and old/potential customers).

I would rather buy phones that are Fully functional and collect little profit than buy 'For parts' with the hope of salvaging it.

Which is one of the risks associated with buying passcode locked devices cause sim trays can be swapped. You can't get in to test anything.

Personally I no longer sell passcode locked items due to this reason. Omicpet can verify. The last passcoded item i bought was an 8plus for Viktor1001. Phone had some issues after wiping. Had to refund the guy.

The reasonable thing to do here is for omio4real to refund topgamer and accept this as his loss.

The imei on phone can’t be reached until when a phone restore is done... after it’s done then you can dial *#06# to get the right imei.

Omio4real as a picker doesn’t even know all of this.

In a nutshell, it’s more like I paid for a complete iPhone 8plus iCloud free & factory unlocked but all I got was sim stray.
