Stevoh18:A Kenyan is calling Nigerians poor. Look at this foolish animal who haven't paid his Debt. Look at this hopeless and senseless creature is calling Nigerians poor while his starving people are dying of hunger everyday. No matter how Nigerians/Nigeria are poor. We can never be poor as Kenyans/Kenya, fact? 1 Like 1 Share |

You just need to use common sense -- actually eyes ONLY - see Nigeria pictures - to know it's not 400 or 500B dollar economy. I mean you can look at 300B dollar economies like Egypt (100M people - not small country) or South Africa or Algeria (one world largest countries - maybe 3 times Nigeria) with incredible resources - and just 270B dollars. Just look at their pictures....and then look at Nigeria pictures. Don't even look at poverty data or whatever. And tell me how that can be 400-500B dollar economy would look like, how the cities looks like, infrastructure, name it. I mean Nigerians when they look at Kenya pictures - their envy is so much- they shout whites & indians because they cannot believe it's african country by Africans - I mean their first reaction in Nairobi Thread by Gavillant was no way kenya was 40B economy (That thread IS older than this). You cannot fake to be rich - at least not for long. tylann: 1 Like |

rvp2018:And yet you are here more than anyone else. You are indeed short of time. Excuses make you look silly. rvp2018:Are you afraid of us bringing up Kenya's woeful economic data and exposing it further? I smell fear. Don't poo in your pants.I am not interested in tearing apart your economy today.Relax. But don't push. rvp2018:I don't understand. Write when you are not angry. rvp2018:You keep forgetting one basic fact. The Nigerian market is the biggest single market in Africa. Based on the fact that agriculture in Africa is still at a backward stage, is it any wonder that Nigeria does not export much food. Nigeria leads Africa in production of eggs and only second to South Africa in chicken. Goats---- Nigeria Rice-- Nigeria Onions---Nigeria Cashew---Nigeria Groundnut.. Nigeria or Senegal Cassava...... Nigeria Yam.----------Nigeria Sorghum----Nigeria Palm Oil------Nigeria or Ghana. Maize........Nigeria or South Africa Citrus.......... Nigeria And many more I don't have the energy for right now. And don't forget: Chicken Shit---- Nigeria So,I mean it when I said you would collapse from the effort. Where do you want to start from? I am glad you didn't fault me on the figures I used for calculating your GDP since they are verifiable like you said. Thank you. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

I have worked for and with UN for many years. The same with IMF and WB. They don't produce any data. They collate data. Basically the source of this information can only be Ministry of Agriculture of Nigeria or Crop Boards like you have in Kenya. A kenya minister of agricluture cannot quote FAO or IndexiMulli. It's the data he needs to know - and the methodology ought to be out there. Jonraid: 1 Like |

I don't know pidgin,so we will have to keep trying PLAIN ENGLISH. We are asking you how do you know how much rice or maize you planted and harvested? Once you cook data - you can become anything. Nigeria are dying from poverty and malnutrition - and they have 100B agriculture. Bigger than Indonesia,Brazil - whose have about double and maybe 5 times their landmass - and really serious agricluture. You say you produce 8M tonnes of rice - yet if you ask anybody in Thailand - Nigeria is their biggest market. Kenya Finance Minister is about to read the budget - It's 31B dollar budget. You cannot read 31B budget if your GDP is 40B as your alleged. Some Jokes I am just entertaining. Nigeria will get there in 2023 if Oil prices hold Stop wasting our time - explain to us how you collect and collate crop production figures. That will be genesis of how your GDP is cooked obaaderemi: 1 Like |

Equity was recognised for its investments in the community while KCB was named most innovative lender KCB Group and Equity Group were feted at the 2019 edition of the African Banker Awards. KCB was named the most innovative bank and also emerged as the top lender in East African region. Organisers of the awards, IC Publications (producers of the African Banker magazine), said KCB was awarded because it “has demonstrated original and practical uses of technology to provide customer convenience, improved and more affordable services, and greater access to the financial services industry in Africa." KCB's recent innovations include its partnership with Safaricom to launch the mobile-based daily revolving credit service dubbed Fuliza. Equity was awarded for its investments in the community, with the country’s second-largest bank funding the education of thousands of needy learners in secondary school. The lender has expanded its education programme to take scores of high school graduates to some of the most prestigious universities in North America and Europe. "The award is aimed at companies that go beyond the philanthropic use of funds to use their overall knowledge, resources and reputation to improve the lives of the less advantaged in society," the organisers said. Winners of the awards were announced on Tuesday night in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea on the fringes of the African Development Bank (AfDB) annual meeting. Afreximbank was named Bank of the Year while Trade and Development Bank's President Admassu Tadesse was crowned African Banker of the Year. South African banks dominated the investment banking and deals of the year categories. Absa won Investment Bank of the Year. Standard Bank and RMB won the equity deal of the year with the VIVO Energy |

Since they purport to be the largest economy in Africa(GDP Wise). They just have to provide data to back up their claims which is not easy.Nigeria is not attractive to Nigerians, they would rather face xenophobia in Mzansi streets than stay in their country! To me that doesn't look like the number one economy in Africa.Them beating SA for the top spot was a big lie! Some Nigerians were not even buying it! rvp2018: 1 Like |

Yemi Kale already did that. What I am questioning is why 100B dollar economy has never sent one ship of excess food apart from cocoa beans & shrimps. Why all big food exporters are sending ships when you produce crazy amount of FOOD.Why are you spending more than 10B dollars to import food. Why are you malnourished? Why is poverty so rampant? Why are you a net food importer? Once you answer all those conflicting questions - you'll only draw one conclusion. You production figures are cooked. Your GDP is therefore cooked. Any body buying it will be an idiot. They need to learn from VW Group who sold 14 cars after producing 32 cars a year in 500B dollar economy. obaaderemi: 1 Like |

rvp2018:u're not smart, rvp..... u're not smart. If u truly want to calculate the value of agricultural sector of a country (which is a tedious task), u have to collate a lot of data: . Ur agricultural products produced on a yearly basis since independence. . ur exported agricultural products since independence till date. . amount the products were sold on a yearly basis till date. . Average % of ur agricultural sector in ur gdp on at least 10yrs interval (ur agricultural sector should be +/-70% of ur gdp in the 70s-80s) . Value of ur exchange rate in those complimenting years. When u're done with that, u'll do the same for every of ur remaining sectors, then u'll collate their respective figures... that's when u'll realise that ur agricultural sector is actually 25% of ur gdp and services hold a huge chunk of ur gdp. U dont just multiply current agricultural products by price to get ur result. It doesn't work like that. 2 Likes 1 Share |
