First thing first McMayor called me around 7:30pm before posting the issue here, i didnt even know you and he didnt mention any name but i told him not to call anyone out that we can iron the issue behind closed doors. I just told him i would call him back in an hour time that i cant talk much in the office. Its a 3-man issue, i've only heard from 2, then i messaged Lionlee and he said his own side hence i came up with my conclusion. So i didnt hear from 2 people, i took your words here as your own part of the story.

Picker admitted responsibility of not picking exactly same IMEI as what you sent him, thats fine but the reality is that both IMEIs are not same. As such, picker told you to return the phone to Omic and he would replace it with an iPhone 7 Plus 32GB, on the condition that its not wiped, i have the VN Lionlee sent to you. But this is what i think, you believe so much in the IMEI the seller gave you, couple with the high profit you've made on the phone, as such you never passed the information to McMayor at the appropriate time, instead you kept reassuring him the phone doesnt have iCloud (bro,thats greed). Your assurance prompted McMayor to wipe/restore the phone, note that very well. So you dont have to tell him in written words or voice call before he can do that.

I am surprised at your consistent and unnecessary "greed" tag you're pasting on the guy, leave sentiments and treat the issue as plain as it is.
McMayor didn't get what he paid for and He deserves a refund.
Picker didn't pick what he was asked to pick and even went further to confirm that he picked the right item.
So he merely acted with full certainty about what he sold due to the fact that the imei he was given was clean and also the picker confirmed it that he picked that exact phone. You're being unnecessarily harsh on him especially considering that the full fault lies with the picker.
The only issue I may not agree to is the fact that he is tying McMayor to the picker even though they may be indirectly connected.

@dragnet and all, Yes the fault was mine, I admitted the fault. I got to the pickup location and noticed the guy looked scary even though it was a McDonald. So I had to cram the last three digits of the imei and that was how I got messed up but I never knew until the phone got to Nigeria.

Anytime I Bleep up, I quickly reach out to Omicpet/frinx/Wildchild1 to ask for opinions since we always talk about personal life. Omicpet advised the iphone 8plus to be returned to him without being wiped and immediately, I told Omio about it only for me to hear from Omicpet that the phone has been wiped.

At the point of discovering the phone has an icloud, I never expected the phone to be wiped cos we all know it will go straight to activation lock, hence the reason I declined my earlier offer of iphone 7+ which i am still declining.

I will not do a refund and end up with an activation locked phone. Thats my own stand.

Sort out the buyer, since u claim the IMEI u gave to picker is different from the IMEI on the SIM tray, both of u have a case to settle

Dragging the buyer into this is totally unfair, it doesn't make sense

U will absorb the picker if u keep dragging the buyer along, sort the buyer out and table ur case with the picker, that is the way to go

I spoke to McMayor and Lionlee behind the camera to get full gist and from all angles, it's very clear the seller played a very fast on you by changing Sim tray that has the original IMEI. You can't blame picker, he did what you asked him to do.

To the issue of wipe or not, from the screenshot shared by Mayor, you kept assuring him that iCloud is not locked meaning he can go ahead and wipe/restore the phone so that passcode can be removed and he can gain access to confirm what you've been assuring him. you don't have to put that in writing, it's common sense.

And the reality is that, if Mayor doesn't wipe, we won't be able to know the true state of phone as the original IMEI can only be viewed on the phone itself not what you have on the Sim tray.

You said something about you waiting for the matter to be brought here before you can refund him, that's not a sensible thing to say, no offense. We are adults here, all matter should not get to the public before we apply common sense. The reality now is that you would refund McMayor in full and at the same time loose clients, whatever reputation you have is now dented because you want your dirty linen in the public when you could have solved this behind the camera (you've lost both cash and old/potential customers).

This should serve as a lesson to all, always avoid issues that can be settled privately to be made public, trust me it does more harm than good especially if you're at fault.

My friend you are not making any sense at all.. you are sounding like u r a novice in tech biz. So it’s not yet obvious to u dat d seller played a fast one on u? U gave picker imei dat seller gave u which he got from sim tray dat he swapped on the phone and picker can only confirm imei via sim tray in dis case cos it’s locked which I believe he did. Now ur buyer started updating u of events right from when he received the phone and u were confidently assuring him that there’s no cause for alarm that it’s just passcode locked and nothing else. He still told you that the person he gave it to unlock the passcode told him that with the display on the screen that the phone is iCloud locked and you were still standing ur ground dat it’s just passcode locked. Now tell us here, what magic would Mcmayor have performed to get that phone activated to menu mode without restoring/wiping the phone? Secondly; how will he get the passcode off the screen? Ask urself this 2 questions and give us d answers here. I personally bought one iPhone X from OfferUp and Mikky was the picker, seller told me it’s passcode locked and gave me imei from the sim tray, when phone arrived I saw same thing as displayed on this ur 8plus on mine and I went ahead to wipe it when my guy told me it has iCloud I doubted it and told him to go ahead and wipe it then it dawned on me it’s iCloud locked truly I sold the phone as parts and lost some money on it but I didn’t even contact picker to ask him why he picked it. Why? Because he picked up what I told him and imei matched.
So in dis case bro d only option u have now is to fully refund mcmayor. Peace...

if you want me to accept full responsibility of refund ,,why do chat to 2person alone while you know 3person is involved, ,now you said is not picker fault,I told picker the phone as passcode lock then I gave the given imei number from seller to him to confirm to the one on phone through sim tray ,after picking I ask did confirm he said yes. now listen had he be the imei I give him was same with the sim tray imei,that's another case but the given imei was different,,,but the sim tray imei was same with the on phone ,,,so here picker pick different imei from the one given ,,how is it my fault and both imei still 8plus plz reason with this very well
