Hello BMW lovers, Pls is it advisable for a first time car buyer to get a BMW as his first car?? In terms of fuel economy, maintenance, security and price. I'm thinking of anything above year 2007!!! I do love BMW much. And is it possible to use it for Uber/Taxify

BMW for uber? It is just like saying you'd like to use a Benz for e-hailing services.
To the rest of your questions, a bimmer is a upscale luxury German machine. I'd suggest you stay away from it if you're not financially buoyant.

Jokes on you.

I'm not advising harley88 to use his BMW for uber, I am trying to dispel the notion against using Benz (and by extension other luxury cars like BMW) for e-hailing services.

Taxi Benz and Police car Benz cheesy

Biggest jokes on you.

You should have attached pictures of a branded benz/BMW being used for UBER in Nigeria to support your position. Before expending your energy on a fruitless internet search, start by listing gas stations in Nigeria that sells quality premium fuel/gas (i.e., 93+ octane rating), because that is the recommended octane rating for bimmers, especially the 5 and 7 series.

Fuel economy, maintenance, spare parts availability, and availability of skilled technicians in your locality.

In recent times I have noticed you don't really see a lot of X5's on the road.

It seems the Toyota syndrome has affected it, because l don't believe that these cars are problematic or have any issues.

Now comparatively you will notice there are lots of RRS, LR3'4's and RR vogue on our roads in droves. But these cars are not that reliable and require a fair amount of TLC to keep on our roads.

So what happened to the X5 ❓ I am perplexed, I admit it's not the best offroader but it's one of the best on the tarmac.

Anyone who knows a bmw gear expert please recommend. Auto transmission failed second time after changing. Fault codes P0734 and P0732.
Where can one get a good auto transmission to buy in Lagos.

Your rewire/electrician should check it out, probably a blown fuse or something. Replacement should be the last resort.

It's a question of preference and function.

So l can not really say, some think it's the Range Rover Vogue, some others think it's the Nissan Xterra and or the Landcruiser. lt's a never ending debate.

Good response! What might be best to you may not be for me or another. Thought you had one "best offroader" in mind whilst stating your opinion.

Still curious to know what your personal preference is when it comes to offroading though.

There’s nothing to upgrade boss. Don’t let them scam you. Is it bumper you want to upgrade or fender or the lights or rim change? Lol. Maintenance is moderate while repair is on the HIGH SIDE. Yeah I mean on the high side. Tips: Don’t ignore any warning light. And don’t use Japanese mech, just expert in German cars.
