true. even though am from south south, the yorubas and the binis have that in common. my great grandfather was a Muslim same with his children.he allowed them freedom to choose. my grandfather felt more comfortable with Christianity(Catholicism) so he chose that same with other of his siblings who chose Anglican,Baptist some even went to form their own churches. what I am trying to say is that there is religious tolerance. on Muslim holidays we go and celebrate with our family members who are Muslims and on Christian holidays they come and celebrate with us, even other celebrations we participate fully. that's why I laugh at those who ignorantly claim Yoruba Christian or Yoruba Muslim. there is really no such thing as father maybe a christian, son may be a Muslim.
