Only Ethiopia (whose gov goes to great length to hide) has about the same scale of ethnic strife in a supposedly peaceful nation. You cannot have 200m or 100M extremely poor people and avoid conflict. The conflict is basically a food fight. A resource fight. tylann:

Their agriculture data collection is worse than that of any other country in Africa. Did you know only 10% of milk produced in Kenya passes through the formal sector? Meaning the real figures of milk production could be fake as well, which also translates to lesser GDP figures been calculated by you. u recall how Kaz exposed kenya with facts and figures on how Kenyan airways only owns 3 aircrafts out off all the 40fleets of crafts of which 20 is leased? how Algeria1, exposed this tiny and irrelevant country for having only 6000km of paved roads.? or how I and u exposed them in many occasions? 2 Likes |

firstly, have u accepted the fact you lied about your Data collection, that you guys never had any data information in regards to your agricultural sectors and that your farmers never had any records for the past 30 years? if you accept , we can now proceed to fertilizer sectors.
The idiot is talking about fertilizer when the whole world knows Kenya's soil is one of the poorest in the Africa. Plus the fact that their arable land is a sixth of Nigeria's arable land despite their useless country being half the size of Nigeria. So who is going to need fertilizer more? And yet their fertilizer use is still neck to neck with Nigeria's own per hectare use.He keeps mocking his country publicly. 1 Like |

You've failed the input approach already.Kenya agriculture is world-class. Now that mitigate some of it. So you've got a startling 30M hectares of arable land (no 9 worldwide) - with 1.5M tonnes of fertilizer - what is the per acre application of fertilizer(urea) again- and then you somehow beat all those countries - to become 4th largest agriculture produce in world - and yet nobody has ever seen a ship full of Nigeria food. Pick any of those countries - US, Brazil, Ukraine, Indonesia - even Kenya - there are thousands of ships now - with their food. In mitigation, you can claim the fact that nearly all 200M Nigerians are openly defecating on the land after a heavy meal of fufu, has produced one of the most successfully organically farmed agriculture.obaaderemi: https://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Agriculture/Arable-land/Hectares

rvp2018: The pictures of poverty in kenya is a reality. The pictures of slums are a reality. Kenya has millions of poor people (15M). I think we take it as call to action. We are doing very well in that sector. In 2014 we started Welfare System with monthly remittance to the poor, the disabled, the old, orphans and vulnerable. Any disable person in Kenya get 30 dollars monthly. Any person above 65 yrs old get 30 dollars per month (pension no pension). We have about 1.2M household in North Kenya who receive 30 dollars for their food. In short we have about 5M (10%) of kenyan on welfare programs.
Poverty is coming down. Btw 2006-2016 - we pulled out 4-5M people out of poverty. By now we have probably moved another 3M out of poverty. We probably still have about 10-12M extremely poor people in Kenya that we need to pull out of poverty and we are working on it.
As for Nigeria - your poor are on their own - poverty has increase to shocking levels - about 70% of Nigerians are now poor.
Why do they constantly need reminding? Dishonesty, delusion, slowness or all of the above? |

I checked all the data. Leave Dangote aside - until it actually begins production. What is happening now is you produce about 1.5M tonnes (main factory seem to have opened around 2016) - you import about 0.8M and you export about 0.7M. Btw why all that Urea - In kenya and as far as I know - DAP (phosphorus) really is the main deal. 68816419:

It is my onus to keep reminding you that Nigeria, the Giant of Africa, is an emerging power that will continue to shape Africa and the world, no amount of wailing by Kenyans can erode Nigeria's innate hegemony in Africa.

samorobo:
All this long talk does not stop nigeria from being the largest economy in africa with an average nigerian being richer than an average kenyan when you look at the gdp per capita which shows how beneath you are under us. 90 million Nigerians living in extreme poverty is silly . Even a roadside begger in.lagos can earn up to N1,000 in 2 hours which equals more than $3. The pattern used in arriving at that nonsense was based on lagging economies which in prevalent in our economy and is expected to Change this year. A child born today is counted among that figure as a citizen living below the poverty line as though he should have cashed out money from the uterus. Gdp per capita is the only reliable key and going by IMF& WORLD BANK YOU GUYS ARE SO POOR AND SHOULD TUCK YOUR HEADS IN SHAME" and please stop parading that false info about you being a $100bn already when world bank and imf has said you would amount to sh10trn =$98bn by the end of this year and nobody is so sure you will eventually arrive at that figure as drought has begun to set in and widen it's horizon across the 500,000kmsq of resourcesless, shamefully less than 10,000km tarred roads, land - and it's even set to intensify greatly next year's which has been predicted to lead to an inevitable famine. You better go and tell your govt to build an ark maybe this time it would be called "KENYA ARK" so you can store foods and accommodate the doomed souls on your many years of famine soon to come. How I honestly wish I would see how great kenya has become but unfortunately the feeds and result I am getting online has disuaded that innocent wish. Come 2025 you are going into neocolonialism with your lives, future and destiny at the mercy of your chinese masters( I hope you.learn martial art during these horrible vicissitudes which you most likely are not going to come out from until at least 2040 that's if your govt play their cards well else it might extend till 2080 by then you'ld be long gone with your kid approaching 30 years while he/she still pays for your govt gullible stupid act which allowed himself to be used as a pawn in the chinese game ) You had better listen to your brother cossano cos as he once said nigeria economy is one of the world most informal economies and in reality should be in trillion not the less than three figure before the 9 zeros that makes up a billion that you guys are still struggling with even though it is largely influenced by debt. You know I try my very best to accommodate and tolerate you silly dreams of being a great and progressive nation with the dream of being africa largest economy but most times I can't help but revolt against that impossible imagination going by what's in ground and what nature as alinged your way as you step into trying years- and of course all thanks to your govt predecessor for not heeding the warning of these early predicted natural disasters and now you have to pay for each and every one of those years to come starting from next year.
No matter how you try to argue about the obvious the following still remains fact (1): An average Nigerian is richer than an average kenyan, all thanks to our Gdp per capita (2): 2.4 million turkanans are starving and we have not even included the pokot and the rest tribes that I cannot remember simply because they all have some weird unpronounceable names (3 ) : Somalians are closing in on your borders and it only a matter of time before they gain absolute control on your resourceless land (4 ) : alsaahab are currently operating in your capital - a place that holds more than 50% of your wealth and debt as well as international investment which apparently is your country most valued location
Cry like a bitch if you want NIGERIA IS GREATER THAN KENYAN. The only african country that has impressed me so far and will rival with nigeria in the future is egypt, and even at that I will say it's by a long shot. You need to see what these two giants are planning for the future. SA will be so benched and dwarf by egypt once egypt vision starts coming on stream soon enough . So many laudable project .wait next year while we commission so many project that would make you cry like the bitch you are. In the meantime we are going gold next year the amount of investors that as showed interest so far has been amazing . I will kill you with progress until you die of unccessary hate and envy
And please don't sing emotions for me, cos I was actually smiling devilishly while I arranged your countries problem before you so you can be buzzed back into reality

A $23 billion budget is too megre for Nigeria. The citizens should be in the streets protesting this injustice instead of daydreaming about Indians. Naijjans, that's what we don't get! Its like the 1973 October War:the Arabs screamed they were winning;the masses ululated frenziedly, only to be dumbfounded when after 'imminent victory,' a humiliating ceasefire was signed. Syria lost the Golan and Egypt nearly lost Cairo! In fact the latter lost 5 missile boats in their own waters and were lucky the IDF didn't capture Damascus-at the end they were 40 km from the capital. The Egyptian high command were sacked and jailed, the Jordanians king who joined battle late was never trusted by Arabs and ten yrs later faced a near civil war from angry immigrant Palestinians while Assad had to explain 3000 KIA to his people. The point is immense Arab anger forced post 1973 forced massive sociopolitical change. Will Naij ever use their quite justifiable anger to throw out their leaders and change ishyt? Or will they endlessly deny and heckle their betters while "suffering and smiling"? This post will ofc escape the grasp of simple minds. |
