That is the whole point. The trend does not make sense. It's not like you have hard data. It's not like you have drones or satellite imagery of farms. Those productions figures are GUESSWORK. And very bad guesswork. For example - you claim for many years to produce 11M metric tonnes of maize - and you don't eat ugali - and you're not into dairy or animal feeds (maybe Chicken & Pigs) - and nobody has ever seen Nigeria maize on the international market. The only thing we have seen is a few cocoa beans after you push to jump-start...about 10% of what Ghana & Ivory Coast do. South Africa do less than that - and their ships are all over with maize - and they turn a lot of it to Ethanol - (SASOL is one conglomerate). And all we see is Nigeria spending oil money to ship food...INCLUDING MAIZE . You claim to be world no 1 in something but still you're biggest importers: VERY CRAZY. My friend - faking data requires some intelligence - or well require everyone to be a fool like Nigerians are. If you adjust that fake agriculture data - your GDP should go to where it really out to be - around 200-250B - with oil alone about 80B dollars. 68816419: 3 Likes 1 Share |

samorobo:You forget tema is expanding not new like lekki. Anyway what is lekki spec? GHANA might have renegotiated a better deal. We saw similar evidence in the train project. . Lekki deepseaport is 1.5 billion. You just lied. And the capacity is less comparable to tema The acres of land is small as well. I can bet you. When it is fully completed. It might be the biggest port in SUBSAHRAN africa with the exception of Durban which is even contested. 3 Likes

68816419:How do states and LGA get their data. And how do you validate the data. For example if you plant tomatoes you need lots of pesticides and fertilizers... does you federal gov really validate such data. The problem like I told you is agro is 22% of your GDP which is 88B dollars...higher than all countries except the big 3 of US,India and China. You know as good as that sound it's incredolous. We are doing this academic exercise to discover the truth...and to help Nigeria realize it's potential by being honest with data.Nigeria if it practice excellent agriculture would be somewhere no 9... 2 Likes 1 Share |

Akufo-Addo secures job for 375 Ghanaian nurses in Barbados President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has agreed to a request by the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, to send some 375 Ghanaian nurses to Barbados to work in a number of their government medical facilities. This came to the fore when President Akufo-Addo and Prime Minister Mottley held bilateral talks on Friday, 14th June 2019, in Bridgetown, Barbados, after the Ghanaian leader paid a day’s working visit to that country. Addressing a press conference in the aftermath of the bilateral discussions, and with Barbados facing an acute nursing shortage, the Barbadian Prime Minister stated that “we have indicated that we are searching for just under 400 nurses, so it is not a small number, and we really do believe that this is a wonderful opportunity of co-operation between our two countries.” In addition, she noted that there was also an initial promise to secure the nurses, and provide joint education programmes going forward, all in an attempt to secure Barbados’ healthcare sector. On his part, President Akufo-Addo indicated that “we have a surplus of nurses in Ghana, and placing them all in our public health system is one of my headaches. There have been a lot (of nurses) produced, which, for several years, we have not been able to do anything with.” He continued, “So, I am going back. I will be back in Accra on Monday, and, the week after, the Prime Minister will hear from me on this matter of nurses.” With President Akufo-Addo being the first leader of Ghana to visit Barbados, the two leaders agreed to reactivate a 2005 cultural, technical and scientific agreement signed between the two countries, an agreement which has been dormant for 14 years. The discussions also touched on tourism and transportation, with Ghana and Barbados agreeing to work on an air services agreement, which will establish direct air links between the two countries, so as to boost trade and people-to-people contact. On the issue of renewable energy, President Akufo-Addo expressed Ghana’s desire to collaborate with Barbados, a country which is giant in that field, and reiterated Ghana’s commitment to increase the renewable energy component of her energy generation mix. As a demonstration of the close ties between Ghana and Barbados, the President expressed his commitment to the establishment of an Honorary Consulate in Barbados, with Barbados set to establish a High Commission in Accra by the end of 2019.[b]Akufo-Addo secures job for 375 Ghanaian nurses in Barbados President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has agreed to a request by the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, to send some 375 Ghanaian nurses to Barbados to work in a number of their government medical facilities. Ogun state Developments Petrolex Oil & Gas Facility, Ibefun, Odogbolu LG, Ogun State. forget DANGOTE, here is another black Nigerian Mafia making us proud Nigeria’s Petrolex to float refinery in Ogun, South West Nigeria. Petrolex Group, an indigenous oil and gas company said it will spend about USD3 billion to construct a petroleum refinery in Ogun state, South West Nigeria. The company said it is investing to create ePetrolex Mega Oil City to increase the availability of refined petroleum products. The coming of Petrolex into the refining sector will be a competition to Dangote Refinery, a project planned to be delivered in 2019. Nigeria has been faced with an inadequate supply of petroleum products which has put the country into series of oil swap agreements with international energy firms to import petroleum products back into the country. Petrolex might not pose a big competition to Dangote Refinery as the refinery is said to deliver 100,000 barrels per day when completed. According to estimates from PwC, Dangote refinery will deliver 650,000 bpd when it opens for business by mid-2019. Operating at 50% utilisation, existing refineries (445,000 bpd) are operating at 20% utilization and modular refineries (combined capacity of 200,000 bpd) also come onstream early 2019, operating at 90% utilization. As to where Petrolex will get the funds to finance such projects, the company said it will fund the project with debt instruments and its revenue from the midstream sector of the oil industry. 1 Like 1 Share

rvp2018: It was 15mill tones not dollars at 2017. The chinese came with that idea of building Port and Industrial parks in Bagamoyo and Kigamboni but their terms was so insane. They team up with Oman for investing on both industries and port. 1. They want to own those lands for 99 years. 2. We should not tax them for 33 years. 3. We should not construct/develop other port in our Coastline. That include Dar port, Mtwara,Zanzibar, Kilwa and Tanga port which the crude oil pipeline from Uganda will end there. So how will ships take that oil from Tanga for export without a Port. https://www.thecitizen.co.tz/news/1840340-5150328-8r5ggd/index.html When magufuli came to power stop the construction and start renegotiation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVedPPmJ__I 1 Like
