My computer keeps giving me bluescreen before tripping off. Something something data dump something. It's getting worse everyday.

I don't know if that is what has happened o. My laptop is now very erratic. It keeps tripping off after giving me bluescreen. On the bluescreen there is plenty tech jargons, but I remember something data dump and 'retrieving'.

First off what version of windows are you running?
Do you regularly update?
What is your antivirus?

Avg and avast have been having a lot of issues with windows updates of recent.

You can download whocrashed which will analyze your crash dumps and give a possible insight into the sources of your crash

You know what, just take it to the computer village, tell them to help you update your windows. There is really nothing to it. You may lose some important files though, so make sure they're backed up in an external HDD.

The best thing is to log out from your system, every social media, and also email, and delete your history, permanently. Copy all your sensitive files to the external HDD, and proceed to delete them permanently too. Disconnect the External HDD from your PC and leave it at home, then take the laptop to an engineer. This way, your passwords and privacy will be protected.

The only sensitive information I have there are my work emails, personal emails where I get my bank alerts and Facebook passwords. Last last I will clear the browser cache before taking it there. That should suffice, right?

How do I backup my files? Ctrl + X?

Na better virus your system carry i swear.
If I were you, i would simply back up my files, get the necessary drivers & format the whole system.
Or if your internal HDD is partitioned, simply scan both partitions. The malware should be in the first drive partition. If it's so, format that partition & install your drivers & you're good to go.
