This one just wants to waste the little money she has, can't you survive in Nigeria? anyways the easiest means of relocating (japaing grin ) is through studies, and why has no one mentioned Germany, aside the language barrier which you can bypass, Germany is better than Canada

My reason for japa-ing is just for the emotional well-being of my kids and I.
I have a good paying job actually in administration with years of experience although my degree is in the sciences. I also in my spare time do a bit of freelancing (write and transcribe).
Truth is that I just want to be far from Nigeria, it can even be in any other favourableAfrican country. I deserve that peace of mind, my kids too. I'm not running away from anyone. I just need to start my life afresh with my kids.

Cyberknight:

You will have to do careful research on the cost of living in your preferred destinations in the developed world to have an idea of whether your finances can sustain you all for a certain amount of time (say 3 to 6 months) without any income and then take your decision.

Hard truth - life abroad (let's use the term "abroad" to mean the developed western countries here) isn't cheap for someone coming from a country with a weak currency. The heating costs for your first winter alone can induce depression. There will be childcare for your children to factor in as well since you are single. No matter how qualified you are and where you were working in Nigeria (if you are employed), do not expect to just arrive and get good employment right off the bat. This is why the Canadian and other immigration schemes require prospective immigrants to show proof of enough funds to sustain them for up to year in the absence of any other income.

Depending on where you are going, and how you get there, you may or may not be eligible for some government assistance (if entering Canada as a permanent resident through Express Entry you have as much entitlement as anyone else, for instance). But you have to balance this out against other harsh realities - sometimes as a new immigrant, what you can afford to pay in rent doesn't get you a very salubrious area, and being encumbered with children limits your choices.

Put differently, for instance, I could live in one room in Hackney or Brixton (Ajegunle) if I were all alone, while I am finding my feet in a new land, but with 2 children to look after, I would rather avoid such areas and their gangs and bad public schools, thus forcing one to move up and pay more.

Hard truth No. 2 - It's easier to hustle if you're alone, you can work many shifts, or hold more than one job, while you settle in and hopefully move on up to better things. With children, you're limited unless your income can cover extended childcare expenditure; not possible at many commonly obtainable income levels.

Hard truth No. 3 - I know several people who relocated alone first then sent for their children and/or spouses later. It's certainly a very common occurrence and one you might have to seriously look at, depending on your finances.

Best of luck.

More oil. Aptly put

Why not stay back and look for a lucrative business to start up with that money. All is not always rosy in these countries. You have friends and family here who will assist you raise ur kids and if necessary support you financially but abroad you are on your own. Be creative, start a business you don't have to travel abroad to make it. Na my own advice oo

My advise is for you to leave those kids with someone you trust in Nigeria then go and find succour. Give yourself two or three years then come back for your kids. Nothing good comes easy my dear...it may look like a lifetime of sacrifice but it will all be a story some day. I know someone that did same way I'm suggesting. Mind you...only few countries like US, Canada and Australia can accept all three of you and you all won't feel the heat for too long. But which of these three wan dash visa by prayer and fasting naaa?

Assess your skills first. Look at your level of education if it'll be enough.
You can apply for a PhD if you have MSc. That'll be a better way to migrate there.

Other than that, I'll advise, you invest in developing skills that'll help you make a comfortable living until you're sufficient enough to move out.

Madam I have read through all the comments
You want to relocate
U are a single mum
Do u have the consent of their dad
These will be needed if they must leave with u
But really do u think it will be easy
U have no papers
Limited funds
Abroad different from wetin u dey see for TV oh
You will pay weekly rent of at least 50k a week
We never talk of health insurance
Bus and train tickets
Who will pay school fees
Abi you think say school cheap
Madam I will advice if u must leave
Do it alone
Till u can remarry
And have the man adopt ur kids
Na so I think say abroad be
Till I travel see
Its not funny
Be wise
Job no dey abroad oh
Except u wan do cash at hand jobs
Or ashawo work
Ur mistake even if u won't like it is that u don born
Its hard for single people not to talk of a mother with kids and not even a kid

If u can't leave ur kids
Then stay here and enjoy next level
If u must travel
U may have to leave ur kids behind
Forget that talk say u will settle in better with them
They will cause u frustration over there

Help A Single Mum With Ideas

Hi everyone..as the topic states I need advise help and personal assistance too if possible.

I'm a single mum of two little kids and I really wish to start another phase of my life away from Nigeria. I feel it will greatly help I and my kids move on from the past.
I'm not too old to work as I'm in my early 30's. Finance is available though limited to a certain amount.

I would love a situation where I can leave with my kids and not have to come back for them later..somehow, they seem to be my motivation to go on.

With these information, which country do you suggest that will be easy for immigration.
Canada

My kids are 8 and 6. I was actually married and went through a bitter divorce last year. Before then we had been seperated for some years.
My kids came out of this union scarred and are very jumpy whenever anyone yells or seems angry...
Thankfully, I was given custody by the court.

I just feel a different environment would help them...help us greatly. Probably help them not look over their shoulders too often.

As I said earlier, they are my motivation for going on so leaving them behind is really out of it for me.

hmmm, madam what about the father of those two kids you be claim to mother, look here lady, it will be advisable you inform their father if he is still alive irrespective of any differences between you two so karmal don't catch up with you in the long run. Just a piece of advice to you. Relocating to another country with the pretense of taking two innocent kids from the reach of their father is a grievous offense and you may end up being the looser in the long run which is an 100% certainty or what could a lady in her early thirties relocating out of the country with two innocent kids which I believe don't know their father have in mind. Karma will catch up with you.

There are some small countries that don't require so much for a visa but only ask you to invest some money in their economy and you'd be allowed to move in and settle. You'll find your feet in no time. You can Google "countries that require less for visa" or *10 easiest countries to migrate to"

Let me also add, please don't give your money to all these scammers that promise to work visa for you. They will leave you in pains.
Good luck ma, may God make way for all of us.
