Let's have technocrats as ministers.
PMB needs to make a strong statement on his choice of ministers towards determining the success of his next level second term.

You see this next level, Nigeria will get nothing but sorrow a out if it.

Score line will be,

Buhari 8 Nigeria 0

Where some countries are reducing their ministerial portfolio because of recession, our own list will be long like Wikipedia.

At the end, a minister for power will be commissioning projects done by governors.

They will travel out of the country than even Ambassadors for foreign matters.

Well, that's the fault of the Constitution which in essence forces the President to give ministerial positions to two representatives from each state of the Federation.(it's why we have had 'Ministers of State' since the Obasanjo era).

Millitary rulers ironically had less ministers (Buhari as Millitary head of State had only 18 ministers at most)..but that was because they had no constraints imposed on them by the constitution.

I suppose we could amend the law...and reduce the number of ministries...but that would lead to protests in the future that 'my tribe//region does not have a minister'.

He will spend the Minstry of Health budget on constructing statues of 'Famous Medical figures' like Florence Nightingale, etc infront of every teaching hospital...

He should get the Minstry of Culture portfolio...that suits him

Anyway, he is a Senator...and shows signs of wanting to stay in the Senate for now.

It seems we are steretyped with this long list since 1999 and deviation from that will see how some ministry will be merged. The secretary in this merged ministry will fustrate the effort of the government in doing so.

Every ministry already have corrupt planted civil servants who know where money could be cornered when budget is released. They feel threatened when such merging is raised to accommodate for less spending.

That is what the country has turned into. People have suffered and would not want to be honest with the government of the day.

Was it technicians he had as ministers in his first tenure? Was it a weak statement buhari on his choice of ministers in his first tenure? Are u also saying that buhari failed in his first tenure?

D president doesn't give one state two ministerial positions. D federal ministries aren't up to 36. So they try to make up 4 it by appointing ministers of state.

Do we have a technocrat or a man who understands the meaning of that word as president? You can't give what you don't have. Buhari's ministers will largely look like him, empty and rudderless. Even if a technocrat mistakenly steps into his government, he will be reduced to a nonentity like Kachukwu

PMB did not know anybody from diaspora or technocrat lives in Nigeria, but when you talk of cows I trust PMB for that instantly he will call his fellow herdsmen to bring any kind of cow you need, fat, thin, yellow, blue, white cows as you want it, but don't drag his leg to do what he can't, he doesn't have what it takes to compounds good hands

You think there will be an end to blaming all the woes of the country on the 16 years of PDP? Watch out. That will be the focus of their blame in this Next Evil.

They will always fight over money and position that's why they are called progressives. They won't other about competent people who may be outside their party.

Obasanjo will always be respected for his broad wisdom of politics and governance.
