Congratulations!!! I currently share one thing in common with you, 8 months of credential evaluation. It was energy draining. I'm currently post-ITA. I just pray and hope the rest of my application goes smoothly. For all you went through, it's evident that this journey isn't for the meek. May you find favour in the maple leaf country.

Good day all,

In a situation where one's express entry profile name is Okoro Mary Ijeoma (carrying her husband's name, 1st name and middle name), and her BSc, MSc and ECA is Oboli Mary (carrying her maiden name and first name only), when such person receives ITA, hope she won't have issue while submitting her document.

Also her employment letter is carrying her maiden name, her 1st and middle name but promotions letter is in her hubby's name, her 1st and last name.. Would this affect anything?

I would really appreciate if someone could attend to my questions?

Thank You

Hello, please I need to swap slot for medicals this week. Anyone willing should pls pls contact me. It's really urgent.

Please which date exactly is used for validity of IELTS? If IELTS will expire after ITA but before AOR, should I rewrite the IELTS?

congratulations bro

I want to assume that this person already started the job while single and got married afterwards. If that's the case, the marriage certificate which will carry a post-employment date, change of name document and a LOE should be enough.

The lagos state polytechnic non academic staff has been on strike for months. Even though the school is trying to maintain skeletal services in units hitherto manned by non academic staff.. It's not helping those of us that want to process our transcripts.

Please has anyone been able to process transcripts to WES from the polytechnic within the last one or two months?

If yes can you help with you4 contact?

The strike is slowing down my ECA.

thanks... but does it matter that my bachelors is a science degree?? Considering one the educational requirements of NOC 1111 are
Chartered accountants require a university degree
and
Completion of a professional training program approved by a provincial institute of chartered accountants and, depending on the province, either two years or 30 months of on-the-job training
and
Membership in a provincial Institute of Chartered Accountants upon successful completion of the Uniform Evaluation (UFE).
Certified general accountants and certified management accountants require a university degree
and
Completion of a training program approved by the Society of Certified General Accountants or Society of Management Accountants and several years of on-the-job training
and
Certification by the Certified General Accountants Association or the Society of Management Accountants.
Auditors require education, training and recognition as indicated for chartered accountants, certified general accountants or certified management accountants
and
Some experience as an accountant.
Auditors may require recognition by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
To act as a trustee in bankruptcy proceedings, auditors and accountants must hold a licence as a trustee in bankruptcy.
Licensing by the provincial or territorial governing body is usually required for accountants and auditors practising public accounting.

No, the bolded does not matter. An applicant does not have to meet the employment requirements of their chosen NOC.

It is better to be safe than sorry, I will advise you scan or both old and new however the bio pages should be explicitly labelled so that the VO will not assume you submitted only an expired passport.

It’s just logical that if you haven’t gone back to the country, the PCC should stay valid.

Please scan only your present passport. So I did. I didn’t get any ADR asking me to send pages of old passports. As far as I am concerned, a ‘valid travel document which you will use to travel’ is a passport which has not expired.

GHOST UPDATE 17/5/19
PPR MAIL 17/5/19
Approximately 8 months post AOR

Our (my wife and I)decision to relocate to Canada was based on many factors. We were also motivated by our siblings in the diaspora who are soaring high in their various fields.

IELTS
This was done with BCIE which wasn’t a smooth sail for me. I didn’t study much cos I felt it would be a walk in the park since it’s ‘english’ but I didn’t know ielts had plans to humble me. Score was SLWR 7,6.5.6.5,7. My wife passed hers! I wasn’t deterred. I immediately registered with MOD and took the test 1 month later and after much intensified jacking, I passed with the minimum required score 8777.

MEDICALS
This was done at IOM Maitama Abuja, sometime in August 2018. I had to do a sputum test/culture after they found a scar on my chest X-ray (Trying and tempting times). My medicals was finally passed in November 2018, 3 months after AOR.

PCC
We got our police certificates from the Force HQ in Abuja. I paid 20k for my wife and I. I also obtained PCC from the UK

ECA
We used WES for both undergraduate and masters degree

WORK REFERENCES
We got the CIC format for references and asked senior colleagues from our organizations to write this for us. Attached payslips, offer letters etc.

POF
My wife and I combined funds to invest in tbillz for a 6 month period. Submitted the certificate with 6 months bank statement.

Then the wait...
Boy! I lost count of how many times I logged into my CIC account.
Ordered 1st GCMS on 23rd feb
Ordered 2nd GCMS on 27th March
Both notes were basically the same thing. No difference and it was very evident that our file had not been touched.
We also called CIC (3 times) and each time we spoke to them it was the same cliche of our file
Being in que and waiting to be reviewed by an officer.

This past week on Friday I got a ghost update saying application/profile updated. Woke up the next morning on Saturday and saw the PPR Mail sitting pretty in my mail box.

In closing, At every stage you find yourself in be it ITA, AOR, ECA, re writing IELTS, awaiting PPR etc just keep pushing and understand you are a step closer to your goal. Delay is not denial, it will end in praise.

Thank you @ifeoma77 for your assistance.

Marriage certificate
One and same person affidavit. etc..
A simple and straightforward LOE. "Before marriage I was "ABC" after marriage I changed my name to "ABD"

This might be a bit of an overkill, but it is better safe than sorry.

Attached says "valid" travel documents. Your new passport is valid, the old one isn't.
Just the new one is required.

Yes oo...that's what fustration does. Wrong I know but desperate issues calls for desperate measures. Don't expect u to understand though.

Thanks to those that offered solutions and ideas. God bless.

Ifeoma77:

So you now decided that the solution is to come and post his number on a public forum for random people to disturb him with calls so he can verify the result of someone called 'onchekpa'?
I'm confused as to what you hoped to achieve here.

My people, this question is funny, but I just to ask it. Is it possible for one's ielts scores on TRF be different from the portal CIC will verify the result from?
