Taliban: I think I need to address this. First I never said that the IQ of most contributors are low, from where did you get thag? I just said the quality of the discussions are low, I mean spending ten pages going back and forth on which team has the better players, I mean that is a low quality discussion, not that anything is wrong with it but I don't think it engages a lot of people like an analytic conversation would. Low quality conversations is not the same as the people engaging in it having low IQs, no way Sir it is not even close. Then on the second part I pointed out that Ighalo is not our best striker if you ask me, then he went on about the fact that I didn't say anything after the Zimbabwe match and asking if I watched the Senegal friendly, how is that connected to what I was writing? That was why I asked him the sense behind his comment, no offence intended really 2 Likes |

Mickael2: Peace then. I apologize for the wrong accusations then. Could it be that the friendly was played behind closed doors for security issues? Truth be told am praying no security issues happen in this afcon just because of the terrorists attacks within the past one year in egypt. According to the writeup we saw about the highlights of the game, try made it seem, the Eagles played well. However, am not sure if the report is objective in my own opinion. Then finally I know Ighalo has caused many people pain but he's not a terrible player. Not exceptional but he has paid his dues in world football. Even the Chinese guys won't pay so much for him if he was crap like some people make him look. 1 Like |

Seun360: Alloy was fantastic in 1990 and until Nigeria lost to Ghana in 1992 nations cup, he was good. I even remember him losing two teeth while in goal against Ghana during a world Cup qualifier. From Algiers 90 Alloy moved straight to Europe, he was that impressive. That was the era of Nigeria having goalies in Europe even when there was limited opportunities for foreign players in the European league not to talk of goalies. 2 Likes |

Taliban: Against Ghana he was very poor, was to be blamed for one of the goal sef. Against Cameroon in the losers final, he was crawling like a toddler prior to Cameroon's goal. Till this day, never seen a goal keeper crawl in the field of play. |

Alloy Agu was unimpressive in Senegal '92 especially in the matches against Ghana & Cameroon. He doesn't have my respect till date. I put him in the same class as Agbim, Uzoho & Akpeyi. Nff is not a serious body. Their fowl yansh will soon open. 2 Likes |

Taliban: Truly I never viewed it from the security angle although I really don't think so. However other countries played in the open so it may be that their own location isn't exactly safe. I don't really know what could have caused that. We have only read the report from the Nigerian media, of course they will be biased but at least they have pointed out that we created chances, that is a positive that can be worked on. Etebo hitting the crossbar with a freekick means he may have been working on that too, another positive. Friendlies are just to learn, once chances are created that means the play was good at least in patches and that can be worked on, although I really really really think Musa is the best second striker we have in the Eagles when playing a 3-5-2, after him should be Onyekuru before Samu, these guys are goalscorers, Samu isn't a natural goalscorer at all. Then finally I am not saying Ighalo is terrible. Yes, it is arguable that he is our best striker ATM, 15goals in the season in the EPL isn't easy at all. But the problem I have with his crew is the believe that a half fit Ighalo is the best option we can muster, I don't think so. Naturally I don't concern myself with Ighalo but an unfit Ighalo IMHO is worse than Awoniyi. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Surely, if you believe that Rohr has one secret genius magic plan hidden somewhere, you're in for a big shock. "ROHR IS NOT A TACTICIAN". He is a good man manager alright, he is good at taking his players to beaches and other luxury locations, but that guy cannot read a game to save his life, talk more of making strategic substitutions or set his team up to play organized watchable football. Sometimes I wonder where Rohr learnt his own pattern of football because I know even the worst teams of the lowest levels in Germany are better organized than this poo he keeps serving up in the name of Super Eagles. This AFCON would've been ours for the taking if only we had a half decent tactician at the helms, not one old rickety archaic antediluvian inept impotent slowpoke of a white Onigbinde. 2 Likes |

"We are not scared of France," says Ordega. "I like challenges. We went to France last April and the result was pretty bad but that's football. "We went to Germany in 2011 and lost 8-0 in the preparation for that tournament but in the actual World Cup they struggled to score against us. We know France are a good team though." Team-mate Oshoala added: "You can't beat my country 8-0 and come back and do it again. No way! "We have to go all out against them. We want them to know that was just a mistake. We have to return our image. It will be an interesting game." |
