kola42:What of chewing gums on wheels? But seriously some rules in this country are just so obnoxious. I read a report where they said anyone plying one-way would forfeit their vehicle. We all frown at crime no matter how big or small it is, but I think the penalties should commensurate with the crime committed. So if I do let's say a 1km one-way drive in a 50million naira car and got caught, I risk the chance of forfeiting my ride? They need to also start putting laws that would enable the citizens to sue the authorities for their lapses. Lemme paint 2 scenarios here. 1. For those that are familiar with Lagos - Abeokuta express way, have you ever imagined what people living at the Estate behind the Airport at Mangoro b/stop just after Ile Zik go through? Imagine you work at Mushin and you close work by 5 or 6pm. After wasting so much hours in traffic at Oshodi and Ikeja, you would still be compelled to go turn at Dopemu and drive all the way back to your estate (after wasting additional precious hours in traffic). Simply put, whoever designed our roads didn't put population explosions into consideration that's why we have pedestrian bridges, U-turns and bus stops situated at the wrong places. Scenario number 2. MOST OF OUR ROADS ARE BAD and motorist are sometimes tempted to ply one way to dodge gullies dug out on the road due to persistent neglect. Would they now arrest and ask a driver to forfeit his car for saving his life and that of his car (especially at night with y the security situation we find ourselves) if he chooses to avoid those death traps we have on our roads? Our government are just after free money at the expense of human health and safety. What they should have done is do a research and find out why people break traffic laws on Lagos road, tackle those issues and give no room for excuse for would be offenders and we would all have a sane environment. Until all these draconian laws are tested out in court, those guys would keep dancing Zanku on our heads. But what do I know, I'm just a novice. 7 Likes 2 Shares |

radautoworks: Lol ...most tourist abi ....It depends what country those tourist are coming from.. When I go there, I go as a tourist and that is why I can stay for three months with no visa. Obviously I carry a USA passport.... If it was all the tourist that are going to Japan , Half of the Nigerian population will be in Japan, yes we do have Nigerians in Japan ,but not an easy life for them.. Japan still not immigration friendly.... Samething with Japanese citizens they can come to USA visa free... just becasue it says most tourist does not mean everyone is approved automatically... 1 Like |

radautoworks: Keep in mind... The same way USA runs their visa guideline is almost the same way Japan run their.. Again Japan is not like China any tom ,d*ck and harry can enter.. Japan has a strict immigration policy .. Japan is a develop country, and as such they need to country who comes in... PS.. People use to say in Japan ,if American sneeze ,Japan will catch a cold.. Because of the War Japan and American policy are very similar especially immigration.. Japan might even be more strict |
