So, they refused to give him untill the guy do something reasonable. They continue to make Nigerian go insane & through pain for rendering service to the citizen. The last time, someone said I should pay $350 for naija passport, I ignored her and jejely paid $180 for naija visa and waka my way. I think the guy wasn't calm enough to get the passport. There may be more to why he reacted that way until we hear his own side of the story. I'm not saying he is guilty or innocent, but I think he was pushed and couldn't bear it anymore since 2017. The passport has been renewed already which will expire June 2024, so why wasn't he given? Okay, it was reported that he didn't provide the collection slip to get the passport which was the reason why he wasn't given the passport but there should be other ways around collecting the passport. I find it laughable that Mr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) described the attitude of the 32-year old Nigerian, Mr. Ewohime Jeffrey, who destroyed about 5 diplomatic cars in front of Nigeria High Commission in London as unpatriotic and an unconscionable act. If Mr. Dabiri-Erewa honestly wants to know what is unconscionable and unpatriotic, he needs to look at the behaviors of the Embassy staffs towards their fellow citizens. I can't believe for the life of me that any reasonable Nigerian would speak out in defense of these MORONS who think that they are demi-gods because they are in these positions not out of merit but due to a family or ethnic connections. I hope the type of behavior -or worse - by this patriotic citizen borne out of frustration becomes commonplace at all Nigerian Embassies until their lackadaisical attitudes change. Biko,lets hear from the man afterall there two sides to a coin.Did he followed all the process and procedures through and through.for instance,before you terminate a permanent Staff,a Superior issues a query and the final arbiter is the Staff Disciplinary Committee,but this is Nigeria procedures are blatantly ignored. Those consulate staff are generally heartless and they deserve whatever they get. Once the embassy in Ottawa, Canada gave a female undergraduate student and several others that wanted to get their passport appointment. They all flew in from other cities across Canada, lodged in hotels over-night and on the day of the appointment the consulate choose not to open without warning or notice sent to these individuals about the closure. The student did not have enough fund for another day in a hotel. She was actually crying. I felt some shame that citizens of a country I come from were treated this way. Hope I will not get the same treatment for my next month appointment at the Atlanta consulate. I do not know why one need to always appear in person to renew a passport. For the e-passport I have which has expired, story is that it can't be renewed but one must get a new one. At this age in the 21st century Nigerian officials are acting more like cave men. 7 Likes |

Amah70: Go to MM Airport and see the sheer number of people arriving daily on fully booked aircraft from all the countries in Europe, Middle East and USA, North America etc......just go to the airport and observe for a week.......then ask yourself what are all these people (Nigerians living abroad, whites, Chinese, Arabs etc) doing here? Better look beyond the chaos, dirty environment, bad politics and governance etc and think what you can do to make good money.....Sidon there dey insult your country.
