Some folks here have given reasons why the OP should censor some of his posts: the hits, their language, etc, but the reasons given are not tangible enough, I think part of the allure of cultism to some people is the secrecy behind it, but once it is demystified like what the OP is doing, they realise it is nothing more than a sure path to damnation. The OP is comfortable sharing what he passed through, I see no reason to discourage him. 144 Likes 6 Shares |

Neddstark: Let me share a little story. A big bird was flying across where Dr Olukoya was praying during a night vigil and it fell down, cos the force of the prayer was too much. Dr Olukoya's attention was called,by the time he got there the bird had transformed to an old woman. He then asked her why she flew across his church and she told him,she was a satanic queen in her witchcraft kingdom, that she was sent by her Lucifer to go and strengthen the cult groups in unilag, because they hadn't spilled blood for a long time. He told told her to surrender her life to God, and she said God forbid, that she has been serving Lucifer all her life and it was too late to turn back, she was immediately allowed to go. This is a true life story. I'm not a member of MFM,but I heard the story from Olukoya himself. 31 Likes 3 Shares |

Talking about the lingo, songs, dressings, OT etc of these cults is part of demystifying them. I went to a school where cultism was not rampant so I knew little or nothing about them. But when I went for my NYSC I was posted to where cultists were very rampant. I quickly got to know that being in the wrong place could spell trouble or death for me. What did I do? I quickly learnt how to recognise cultists so that I could avoid them. I learnt things like color combinations and the lingo they used. It made me to realise that there were some slangs I heard some people using in the past which I thought were normal street slangs, but now I realised they were actually cults languages. I learnt all these things without anyone realising, I was very aware of happenings in my surroundings. I can tell you that it really helped me in avoiding trouble as I could easily spot some cultists and learn to avoid them in future. I eventually discovered some of them who were even hiding their identity as cultists, even inside the church I was attending. Please let the OP continue to demistify them and let those who wants to learn learn. We must always have some stubborn dogs in every society who will not heed to the hunters whistle. Stop attacking the OP and learn from his message. Cultism has grown to become a cancer in our society and if nothing is done about it, the whole body could end up dead. 137 Likes 11 Shares |

It was never my intention to comment on this thread even though I visit it on daily basis but some unfair comments here against the OP have eventually forced me to comment. Op you are really doing a wonderful job in this expository. I graduated in 2005 and can relate with some of what you exposed here even though I wasn’t a cult member all throughout my stay in university. Those that accused OP of glorifying are just unfair. OP has been consistent that no cult is stronger than the other and cannot protect anybody. Some other comments are of the opinion that what OP has said is well known to everybody. This is a big lie. Some of my friends that joined cultism in school only saw the entertainment part of it but never the ugly side as exposed by OP. One joined because he wanted to always attend parties without hindrance or molestation. Another joined in order to continue to date his girl. Another joined in order not to be alienated from his drinking peers. But all regretted ever joining. The severity of the initiation which lasted for a whole night was made known to me by the OP for the first time in this thread. Members at risk: Another eye opening is the fact the every cult member is at risk during HIT. The notion has always been that it was the person the pulled the trigger in previous HIT that is always the target. A friend of mine who renounced always said so but I wonder why he leaves schools for weeks at times. On settlement with cash: Another interesting thing OP emphasised that I wasn’t aware of is that HIT is settled with cash. This is one of the greatest lie by cult members who always insist that the fear of reprisal attack from their group members protect them. For the first time I realised that cash is used to pay off dead ones. Who benefits from this cash, maybe the cult head or chairman and definitely not the deceased family. How much is involved? Even though OP has not stated that but it cannot be above N100,000. So this amount is what a cult member insured his life with. On JUJU: On this OP is not lying. Almost all cult members parade one juju or the other. These different jujus serve one purpose or the other. For their effectiveness, I don’t know. But one thing I know is that cult members are not morons or imbeciles. They are people with thinking faculty, if the charms are not known to have worked, it wouldn’t have been so rampart with them. But like all evil supernatural stuffs, they not only have their expiry date but also dos and donts, fake ones and stronger ones. One in my school then always boasts that whoever that wants to kill him must first visit india. This is an indication that whereas he believes in the efficacy of his charm, he also believe that stronger ones exist. Those that questioned the efficacy of juju and insisted that Britain wouldn’t have conquered Nigeria if it works. Well like Igbo people says “Ihe a muru amu ka ihe agwuru agwo”. Check me out in religion section if you want to go further on this. Lastly: OP, someone who is still a member said early in this tread, that if had read this thread before going to university that he would'nt have joined. That is the best appreciation you can get in this thread and the greatest motivation you can get to continue with this thread. 271 Likes 24 Shares |

dairykidd: Guy, you are triggered deeply by this story because of your past. Let the implication of this sink in. Without your dirty cultism past, you will see this thread as most of us see it, a brave life saver in a hopeless world. You talk of people knowing the implications of cultism before joining and I laugh. Dude, it's a secret cult for crying out loud and 90% of what you will eventually encounter will not be revealed to a ju man or non initiate until you are initiated. The unveiling of the secrecy which OP is doing is like unmasking a masquerade, the whole myth and reverence and power of the masquerade over you is gone. Will there be some who will read this and still run to join? Certainly. But those ones are the few that are hardwired to embrace evil and self destruct. In the classic, Living in Bondage, Andy(Kenneth Okonkwo), full of regret and misery at the enormous price he's had to pay for joining a money ritual secret cult, blamed his friend Paulo, who had convinced him to join, for not telling him, in greater detail, the gravity of the price he would have to pay. He cried, "Mana Paulo ikowataro m ife a ofuma." "Paulo, you didn't explain this thing to me very well." This expose has done justice to revealing the gravity of the evil that cultism truly is. No one after reading this will give the excuse of not knowing the depth of the evil involved anymore. Let he who has ear hear. 119 Likes 8 Shares |

I love the fact that you spoke for yourself, I am also on that team. But we are not the only youths Nigeria has. A blend of those on revenge mission, those fascinated by the power of violence and the plain inquisitive can still use all these information as a motivation. It does not make what OP is doing by exposing all these things bad, it is just a narrative we should consider and be guided accordingly. PoliteActivist: 2 Likes |

The OP has done a great job...however critisms against him should not be taken lightly either ... While the thread largely tries to discourage cultism ...some portions of the story tend to make it look like Ops former group hardly lose when scores are counted ...it's either 6-1 4-1 etc ..stories like these can be interpreted as lopsided by people that belong to other cult groups....OP should cut out such details to avoid thread derailment . Secondly OPs M-Y seem not to have ever failed ..this in itself can be interpreted by some curious ones that once your JAZZ strong you will live to tell the story after others have died .. My most important concern ..is for the OP to give smart ways to avoid cultism in the face of serious oppression which accounts for the reason a lot of people join ... From his stories ...the original oppression he suffered in school lured him into it ..and even when he decided to lie low after school, his gf was beaten up and he was even slapped and harrased by tenants that are cultist ... I have a younger brother that finds it difficult to swallow it when someone tries to oppress him ...for some people like that, all these stories of dangers in cultism will have little effect ...to them someone who should not be able to stand them normally will hide under the protection of cultism to make life bitter for them and they must respond anyhow..now in cases like this what can be done without resorting to rival groups ? 24 Likes 2 Shares |

CanadaOrBust:My friend,u are becoming annoying.I wasn't seeking for ur Opinion but that of the OP. Funny enough,U seem like one of those peeps forming prof but without a tangible Degree to Show for. Wonder how u can easily access the net yet cant seem to differentiate btwn the two. FYI, Some group of friends can form a Gang to rape, rob, fight etc that doesn't make them Cultists. That u Form a Gang with the Igbo smokers in ur neighborhood with the motive of constituting Nuisance and wreck havoc doesn't make ur mere Smokers Gang a Cult. Gangsters can only graduate into Cultists when they have a common Motto,Creed,Blood Initiations and Oath of Secrecy. A Gang doesn't necessarily need that, they just flow with the motive and motion. Pls don't come and disturb me again unless u are thanking me for educating u here free of Charge. 21 Likes 2 Shares |
