I think it’s an advert because she should have a bvn and it should reflect the name she used to open the account and I thought they said first bank mentioned in the or am I wrong? |

If this story were true, then the woman better finds her way to human rights radio here in Abuja to table this case, if she ever hopes to get justice |

nams77: In a rural branch, illiterate villagers run multiple bank accounts with several names. BVN or not. You see things like Kalu Emeka. Next account will be Okoro Emeka Kalu. Third account will be Okoro Kalu. Same person. Only diligent bankers spot out these errors and correct them. |

Smells like what a certain guaranteed bank can do. You know... steal your money and still take you to court. Like how they did to a certain Innocent man with his billions. Na them 1 Like |

Re: Woman Jailed In Kirikiri For “opening An Account” (photo) by stnkembu(m): 4:12am On Jun 20, 2019 |
400billionman: Bros, there are basically no difference between opening an account in a rural or urban area. For name mismatch, only the account name that matches with the names on the BVN will be linked; others will be frozen until they're regularised. |

nams77:God bless u for making sense. The story simply does not add up at all!!!! I wonder how nairaLanders forget their brains at home when reading some stories. What happened to BVN? what happened to the photo on the mandate? Even if the bank actually incarcerated her in error, how can her money be withdrawn by someone else?? All pure lies. The woman attempted a fraud and failed. She was lucky to finally get out of jail. She for don hear am |
Re: Woman Jailed In Kirikiri For “opening An Account” (photo) by obstead200(m): 5:52am On Jun 20, 2019 |
400billionman:the point is, as long as the woman is BVN verified, name mismatch alone cannot make her a fraud suspect. U shud know better than this Na. The woman clearly attempted a fraud. Leave story |

advocate666:Is that enough reason to empty her account and throw her into gaol? Even if they feel she is not mentally competent to handle money, where did the said money vanish to? She is 'mad' as you say, but they still opened an account for the mad person where the mandate is this so called 'mad person' is the sole signatory and accepted her deposits. Is this not sheer devilry?? Abegi, bros that bank needs to be made to face the full wrath of the law. |
Re: Woman Jailed In Kirikiri For “opening An Account” (photo) by Nobody: 6:25am On Jun 20, 2019 |
Ishilove: This is just a story being sensationalised for social media. Everyone is tacitly not naming the bank.if the 'victim' actually had a case, Femi falana would be naming and suing the bank right now. |

This came just a morning after I saw the last part of WHEN THEY SEE US. If this truly happened, I see no reason for holding back details relating to the case. If Flemer feels it's necessary at all to let the public know about it, then it's also necessary to for them to disclose all necessary information. |

I believe this woman did her bvn before she opened her account... The bank should have trace the account through her Bvn. There’s something going on in the bank concerning this woman money we don’t know. She only have speech delinquency, she can hear and they can simply ask her for her bvn dre11: |
