For God sake can someone take some of this shady people to a entrepreneur class and make them understand the meaning of reputation. For days now this thread has become so much quite with deals and even the sellers are complaining of slow business just because buyers are freaking afraid to lose their money.no matter the product you have got if your reputation is zero nobody is willing to risk is hard earned with a scammer or a unreal fellow.please if you are a seller on this thread and you have any pending unresolved issue with anyone please sort it out and stop making all of us look like we are all liars. REPUTATION IS THE SOLE OF ANY BUSINESS.

Recently many people are saying deal hunter should be selling links alone, that's the best...

Will it even work better that way? I doubt it... Why? Because many would lose seriously if it's like that.

Let's think about it thoroughly this way... A deal hunter saw a good deal, sell the link and collect his token, you go ahead to contact the picker, unfortunately someone else also saw the link and eventually you miss out maybe because you weren't fast enough or the picker couldn't reach out faster, will you ask the deal hunter to return your money after he has sent/given you the link which both of you confirmed... Or in other manner, their was failed pick up, at least you must sort the picker for failed pickup... Or imagine after buying a link, the oyinbo seller make a quick one on you, the item arrives and it's not as described, we all know you won't hold the deal hunter responsible...

We shouldn't forget that the reason deal hunters are held responsible for items is because they bought and sell the deal to you, not the link... If you bought a link who will you hold responsible? If there is failed pickup, who will you hold responsible?

I'm 101% with nymphomaniac on the "selling if links".

I'm tired on behalf of all these people wey "deal vampires" dey suck dry. Haba! angry
I don’t think link selling will work , one other reason is that d seller might put price for d person u sold d link to, probably he reduce d amount d initial time just bcus d way d Dealhunter addresses him. N after selling link d same seller won’t want to go on the low price again

You don't get it bro. Deal hunter gets paid only when item has been picked from seller. At point of pick up, pickers communicates condition of item to link buyer and asks if he should proceed with purchase. He ask enough questions because once purchased, it's now his responsibility.

Deal hunter will send link to picker. Seller will think deal hunter is the one buying. Deal hunter's commission only gets paid when item is picked up

I understand Bro... And you think that's the easiest way to transact. Deal hunter - Picker - Buyer.
Even when it involves 2 people (deal hunter - picker) there's still many failed pick up, not to talk of 3 people. Especially when buyer most times feel timid to pay for an item.

Communicating with the third party at the point of pick up will lead to a lot of failed pick up, and I still wonder who will pay for it.

Do you know how many failed pick up people pay when they wish to search for themselves? A lot of people have openly said they stop hunting for deal because of series of failed pick up.

If not for few dubious deal hunters, this way is still the way!

selling a link does not mean you'll have to contact the seller na, the link seller would have gotten every info including phone number and location so all you have to do is contact the picker with those informations

By so doing, the deal hunter will only be paid after a successful pickup, probably by the picker, in this case much troubles like this will not be on the deal hunter and picker alone....every blame will be shared equally as the buyer has every right to also contact the seller and ask questions to reaffirm what the deal hunter posted

why is it so difficult to pay to the picker directly?

This makes sense ! Picker can take out his own bill and fund the Deal Hunter his profit.

Deal hunter will send link to picker. Seller will think deal hunter is the one buying. Deal hunter's commission only gets paid when item is picked up
And you think Pickers will feel comfortable being answerable to both the Buyer and DealHunter at same time..?? Esp oh his way to pickup and point of pick up
Also If deal hunter is sending link directly to picker,, it's no different from DealHunters buying the said phone directly and posting as Deal.. Cause if the phone has issue at point of pickup or after, he (picker) was only in chat with DealHunter, he doesn't know what DealHunter has told Buyer as condition of phone..
.
Also let's not forget most of these Pickup are done at night, buyers may be unavailable to answer questions at point of pickup,, unlike DealHuters dedicated to this job..
.
Moreso there are times buyers can't shift ground, some of these sellers don't give full details,, in a case where a phone has a little minor crack on edge or dent. At point of purchase, some buyers may not mind, while some will.. There are always compromise sometimes,, but with Pickers having to contact both DealHunter and Buyer at pickup to request if he should still proceed or not,, THERE WILL BE MANY FAILED PICKUP
.
And by the way.. What of those that have Suppliers and buy in bulk..?? How did they sell link in this case..??
.
Conclusion: As far as there are currently ugly issues on DealHunters selling phone directly,, selling Link isn't a direct substitute or solution..
We seem to have forgotten so fast that its because Link selling has its numerous ShortComings that's why everyone moved to Outright deal sales..
For me: Selling link isn't a solution, it's just another way of doing biz that had it's own ugly faces..

I think selling of links is a very simple issue.

DEAL HUNTER ACTING AS AN AGENT

1. At the point of selling the link, risk and responsibilities are transferred to buyer. Deal hunter only receives commission. After getting the link, buyer should be able to carry out his checks with due diligence. Ask, ask and ask the seller. Confirm the accuracy of details gotten from deal hunter from the seller before forwarding link to picker.

2. Deal hunter receives commission if and only if item has been picked.

3. Buyer bears the responsibility of failed pickup - is as simple as that since you’re not paying the deal hunter anything. If commission has been paid to deal hunter prior to pickup, the deal hunter should make a refund.

4. If for whatever reason, item didn’t come as described and defects are of minor issues that can be easily fixed and which cannot be easily identified by the picker at the point of pickup e.g non physical defects that’s very hard for deal hunter to know - deal hunter should return the commission paid to him.

5. Where a deal hunter purposely hides details to client, deal hunter should FULLY REFUND the buyer or bears the full cost of repairs.

6. In essence, the liability of a deal hunter should be restricted to the commission received if the link was sold to the buyer and buyer contacts seller directly in a fair and open transaction.

DEAL HUNTER AS SELLER

7. However, I think it’s an entirely different scenario, when you pay the deal hunter the full cost of the item and he pays picker on your behalf, the nature of the transaction is different and so the rules should also be different.

8. In the event of no. 7 above which is common, deal hunter is responsible to a large extent as to the cost of repairs, and a fixed percentage should be agreed upon. Everyone should share the risk - deal hunter (in this case, he’s the seller) and buyer. This is a business and you can’t be totally absolved of risk. With high yield/profit comes high risk.

9. Where a deal hunter/seller purposely hides details to client of any defect minor or major, deal hunter should FULLY REFUND the buyer or bears the full cost of repairs.

10. In regards the percentage on 7 above, I suggest a percentage of 50-50 for defects not easily identifiable/not physical in nature, or as result of deceptive detailed given to the deal hunter when searching the deal and for which it is impossible or hard for deal hunter to know.

Deal Hunters should be responsible enough to do a simple paid IMEI check - Blacklist, FMI, Network Status, MDI, etc. It’s the least you can do.

Pickers Should refund the full cost of picking an iCloud locked device.

The major reasons people don’t search themselves is either your they can’t access the site or they lack strong negotiation skills (as is my own case).
Accessing this site is very easy, there are simple instructions to follow or avoid to be in the game. I’ve been using one account since I started this and not even for once was I flagged. There are people who sell accounts here.

Moreover, that is why there are deal hunters, if you can’t do it, they’ll do it for you.

And what exactly is your point

Doing this business is not by force. We’re all here for the profit and before anyone should engage he/she should understand the risks involved. Hundreds of people pass this trend daily without conducting business with anyone because it’s beyond their risk threshold.

If you must do this you have two options, buy the link or buy the phone from the hunter. Or better yet, search for a deal yourself, it’s not that hard.
