You can use that. Just present the reason for an expedient appointment well.

Guys I’m thinking of using an emergency appointment date to move my interview date forward
Advisable? As it seems I can use it just once as long as I’ve not been previously denied

Another uncle funding problem, I keep saying this is not the way to go yet people be attacking me on this thread for making reasonable points. If you uncle wants to fund you let him advance you the funds before hand, that way you have it in your account and you present your own SOA, especially if you are not a fresh undergrad and been working for a while

NB picking abuja won't make any difference

And what makes you think visa cannot be granted if the student is interviewed next by a different consular?
There will be difference when he/she reapply. Don't numb the hope yet.
By the way, your suggestion is not going to work. Large dump of money in acct will be worst as this will literally mean the student do this for the purpose of visa. If he/she meet a different VO, the outcome will not be the same.

chances are slim already, from my earlier posts, I said get this funds deposited at the beginning of your admission application process that way its been in your acc for a while, even if he or she meet a different VO there is already a doubt about whether the student can fund his or her education, I don't see any other way around it, my suggestion would be get a student loan and apply again, but then again it might be too late for that.

Hello, so my visa was delayed at the Lagos consulate today sad sad, my appointment time was 6:30, I was interviewed by a white guy in his 30s or 40s at window 3.

VO: Why are you going to the US
Me: I am going for my Masters in Mathematics with concentration in Biostatistics at Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia.

VO:Why this course
Me: This course would equip me with the necessary skills in tackling some public health challenges, such as the investigation of food borne disease, establishing the causes of illness outbreak and it would enable me to take on job when I come back.

VO:What's your highest qualification
ME: I have a Bachelor of Technology in Statistics

VO:What is Biostatistics
Me: Biostatistics is the application of Statistical methodologies to the field of forensic Medicine, medical practices, public health and other health related fields

VO: How did you hear about the school
Me: I did an extensive research on usnews to know the schools that offer Statistics with Concentration in Biostatistics and I came across GSU

VO: How did you get this huge scholarship
Me: I believe the admission committee were impressed with my CGPA, the fact that I graduated at the top 7 of my class, my statement of purpose, the recommendation my lecturers sent across.

VO: You have an oncampus employment, what will you be doing
Me: I have not been assigned my duties..... A pause, it's a graduate teaching assistantship position

VO: who's your sponsor
Me: My uncle, Mr...

V.O : How many children does he have
Me: 2

VO: Where does he live
Me: Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State

VO: Why will he want to sponsor you
Me: My parents were one of his educational sponsor and he has been part of my success story since my mom died and he promised to sponsor me when I graduated with a strong CGPA

VO:Have you travelled before
ME: No I have not had reasons to

What I noticed during the interview, he emphasised on the huge scholarship as if he was impressed, but I feel he was disappointed with the fact that I said I haven't been assigned my duties, he said again that but you have a campus employment, that was when I mentioned that it is a graduate teaching assistantship position.

Also, how I got my scholarship, I should have mentioned my GRE scores, also although he didn't ask what I would do after my course, when he asked why this course, at the end, I should have mentioned a specific position, I had an answer for that. Please help me figure out what went wrong and how I can improve my responses, I want to reapply immediately.

No document was asked except passport, Sevis fee, and i20

My profile: 3.47/4.00 WES unofficial evaluation
GRE score:314, 161Q, 153V
My tuition was waived(30k)+ 10k stipends, total cost of attendance is roughly 49k, so deficit of less than 9k.

Kindly indicate your target jobs in Nigeria when you come back too. You got a huge scholarship, the VO expects a smart and intelligent approach from you.

Bless

Hello guys this is my second time I was denied a u.s visa and this is is the transcript of my last interview

Me: good morning
Vo: good morning, pls pass me your passport .
Vo: where are you going to?
Me: am going to Saint cloud University Minnesota.
Vo: why st cloud University?
Me: well after my first degree on biotechnology I went on a research on school of technology in the United states and I came across st cloud University.  From my research I discovered that st cloud University is the best University in the whole of Minnesota I terms of technology for instance I discovered they have the latest laboratory tools and equipments such as the latest dna sequencing machine , hand pipette, the autoclave ,agitators to mention but a few and exposure to this practical environment will help me Hone and develop my practical skills because quality control and safety technology is entirely a practical course on its own. I would also be able to put to work some of the concept I was taught during my first degree as some of the courses offered are related to courses I encountered during my first degree there by making me a complete and a confident graduate in my field of specialization.
Vo: okay
Vo: who is your sponsor?
Me; my parents and I also have their statements here with me .
Vo: what do they do?
Me: my mom is a medical doctor at lasth and operates her private clinic at lagos also. My dad is a business man.
Vo: what does he do?
Me: he deals in automobile tyres
Vo: okay
Vo: what have you been doing since you graduated?
Me: well I have been working in my mom's clinic under the supervision of the chief laboratory scientist.
Vo: long pause!! Sorry you are not qualified for a us visa..then she hands the blue paper to me.
Couldn't identify the reasons why I was denied the visa in the first place...she didn't take a look at my statements also.

Hello beautiful people! Please treat as urgent.

My employer which is also some kind of family company(majorly owned by my uncle, my dad is a minor shareholder) is sponsoring my masters program. Sponsor on the i20 is family funds(I submitted the companies SOA which covers more than 200% of the required amount; and my Dad’s SOA which covers about 25% of the required amount as he will be supporting me)I have the statement of account of the company and my Dad’s. Do I need additional documents? If so, what other documents do I need?
Re: General USA Student Visa Enquiries-part 15 by Gloryemo(f): 1:33pm On Jun 20, 2019
This is someone going with parents and was denied.

I don't think using uncle, aunty or parent as sponsor is the issue in most of these interviews.

Sometimes it might be the ds160 form or the composure of the applicant or inability to prove a strong reason to return after studies whether by showing past work experiences or potential positions

Statement of account from company AKA business account has so far been rejected. I can tell you categorically that Business account is a very complicated one. Anyone that has a Limited Company can attest to that.

A study leave with pay is more ideal than a business account any day any time.

If you have nothing else but that SOA to show proof of funds then carry it along with a letter from the same bank stating that your uncle is the sole signatory to the account, and if possible, an incorporation document that shows your Dad as a shareholder. Just pray the VO you meet wouldn't frown at business accounts, or that you'll be given the opportunity to present those documents if the VO isn't convinced. A personal account is always preferred.
When asked about sponsor, say that the company is sponsoring you, and that it's a family business run by your uncle and your dad is a shareholder.

Good Afternoon Kings and Queens

My interview is next week and i would desire you help critique my transcript

Vo: Y r u going to d US?
Me: To pursue my Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

V.o: How did u know abt dis school?
Me: I attended an Education Fair organized by Education USA, Where I met with representatives from the school, then I did some research about the school using usnews.com, Princeton review and study.com

V.o: What research did you do
Me: I researched the location, tuition, and scholarship opportunities, the opportunity for co-op and internship programs, International enrolment rate and international programs, accreditation of my program

V.o: Tell me abt ur program
Me: My course duration is 55months, the required credit hour to graduate is 125, also a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 18 credit hours is required each semester. Then i would mention my courses

V.o: What's ur highest degree?
Me: Ordinary National Degree

V.o: Year of grad?
Me: 2018

V.o: Wat av u been doing after ur OND
Me: I went for an internship job at Highland Energy Services Limited

V.o: What role were you performing
Me: I was evaluating electric systems, products and components.

V.o: How many applications?
Me: 3. UCO, Northeastern University, University of Cincinnati

V.o: Tell me what this program would do for you:
Me: It would afford me a deeper understanding, knowledge, and insight into designing, developing new technological skills and programs needed for quantum computing, embedded systems designs, multimedia processing, and photonics

V.o: Why this course:
Me: This course would expose me to the theoretical and experimental skills needed in the feeds of Digital Electronics, Control systems, power engineering, mechatronics, and digital signal processing

V.o who is your sponsor
Me: I have a global diversity scholarship of $5000 then my uncle would cover the rest

V.o: what would you do after your program
Me: everybody knows the major challenge in Nigeria is power and energy, i would be coming back to my country to work with the Ministry of Power, works and housing to bring in new renewable energy options my country can delve into to stop our over-dependence on hydroelectric power which during dry season, causes epileptic power supply.

V.o: Why this school
Me:
1.Due to the global diversity scholarship I was offered and the affordable tuition for my sponsor,
2. Due to the international program the school offers, called CRISP - community responding to international students program where an international student is paired with an American family and mandated to meet a minimum of once in a month.
3.i choose the school. because of a new center started by the college of mathematics and science called "CURE-STEM. Centre for undergraduate research education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics where a STEM undergraduate is opportune to carry out research in their respective programs with the vision of creating new technologies that can change the world
4.Opportunity for Co-op programs and Internship: after my second year, I would be going for an internship program which would expose me to the practical aspect of my program, etc

In why this school?
Do you really think the VO will sit and let you number all those?
Make it exciting and engaging. Make a flowing sentence.

Your scholarship is not big with all the global tag it has.
What's your total deficit?

These VOs can be very funny tho.

I see where people say the VO ' nodded in affirmation'
Or was 'looking impressed' or say 'okay'

From my deduction , that doesn't mean they are impressed.

These VOs can be very funny tho.

I see where people say the VO ' nodded in affirmation'
Or was 'looking impressed' or say 'okay'

From my deduction , that doesn't mean they are impressed.

Good afternoon everyone. I was just granted an admission at Austin Peay State University but I also applied for graduate assistantship and I have not gotten any response about the GA yet. Should i wait a little or start sending mails the departments I applied to?

I laugh you in Swahili.
