lol @ bla bla bla Oga bla bla bla... it's a free world now- apply for your visa but know you may be banned for 5 years if you misrepresent or provide false documents . You may also be deported if your intentions are not genuine- people are still making it in Nigeria so no need for desperation . If you are confident that some employers may sponsor you on arrival with a tourist visa , why not let start applying to them in Nigeria and get your legal permit from here? [/quote] 2 Likes |

I have read through all 119 pages of this thread and I must confess it has been really educating. Kudos to ICASng for putting this thread together and I say well done to everyone that has contributed. I have an offer for MBA from DBS and I plan on applying for my Visa ASAP (still putting together all required documents). I would be asking questions if I'm not clear about any other thing. 2 Likes |

slimdaddy2822: That would be the right step in the right direction but the chances are second to zero if you ask me. All thanks to our country of origin, Nigeria. Also beware of scammers who pose as potential employers in Ireland seeking for young gullible minds to deceive. Truth is, try get a student visa and then when you are here you can take it up from there. My own opinion though. 2 Likes |

Less stress I would suggest NCI to think of part time job, you can still do it with Griffith but NCI is better. You can make it on any field must not just be IT based. Just be focused and have a plan you’d be fine. Cheers. Nicholekamsy: 2 Likes |

Can the English language proficiency be waived at the embassy for study Visa in Ireland? Griffith college didn't require it during application. Please I'm confused. I need response |

Warmatef: For the Embassy of Ireland, nothing replaces an English Test and it is COMPULSORY for every Nigerian seeking a study visa. Don't be scared of the exam; 1. It is not as hard as you all think it is. 2. Irish embassy requires an overall band score of 5.0 Regards 1 Like |

Nicholekamsy: There are jobs in financial services.... some of them require IT proficiency. Coding is not hard to learn you can do that online. Courses that deal with analytics to be specific... you'll still get trained on the job but they want to see it on your cv; it tells them you're interested and trainable... also there is actual skill gap in accounting... make sure you get "is it ACCA " I think you'll be fine 1 Like |

Good day. Please i have a little challenge, I'm using my mother as a sponsor but I'm not working, we've sourced for the funds for the fees for living expenses + tuition but my mom's account doesn't have constant inflow and outflow. I was told that if the transfer of the funds is made to her account then it would be considered as lodgement and hence an automatic refusal of the visa. I really need your help/advice in the matter, if anyone has an idea of what I could do please help me out. I'm running out of time and I need to apply for the visa soon PS I got an offer for MSc Cybersecurity in NCI |

Below is the course introduction: The MSc in Computing Masters Qualifier will offer graduates in non computing disciplines the opportunity to acquire the core knowledge of computing concepts necessary to be eligible for entry to the MSc in Computing programme in the School of Computing. The philosophy behind the qualifier is that graduates from other disciplines will have developed significant transferable skills in analysis, communications and independent learning and so will be in a position to learn a focused subset of computing knowledge quickly.
