I also hold hold the view that many superpowers would be a good thing against one country hegemony. I actually dont like the fact the USSR collapsed. Now we cant even have a space race or star race . I think generally humanity has slowed in progress as a result. China, yea they doing a great job. And USA trying everything they can to slow them like they banned Huawei.

True but did you see the combination of force you listed earlier . Or maybe worst comes to worst china might connive with its asian brothers for victory.Russia should be a good example and would be willing to join hands in taking US down should US try to start an actual war from these trade war .bad blood has always existed btw Russia and America and Russia will not hesitate at an opportunity to expunge that greatness of America. The real miracle was they began thinking about controlling their population in 60s while we started doing the same in 1980s, having controlled population, they invested heavily in human capita (education & health care) for the next generation, that came of age in 80s - and were able to leapfrog many countries to developed world status.

I see the same starting to happen in Kenya - we began taking pop control in 80s & 90s seriously- and we are starting to see the benefit. Our gdp has grown the last 15yrs from around 15B dollars to 100B.Our GDP per capita has about doubled in 5yrs. Our population growth has nose-dived. If we keep the same growth trajectory - then surely by 2030 or earlier- we will be middle class with about 5k USD per capita and who knows by 2050 we will be a developed country.

I wish I could say the same about Nigeria - maybe South Nigeria will achieve those goals - but North Nigeria is a huge mess.
