Well done my Governor. This is Frugality with a mindset. It's 'Think Anew, Act Anew' season in Ondo State. Governor Akeredolu is setting a new standard for leadership in Nigeria. I wonder how he's able to clear backlog of salaries owed by the previous administration and still paying Salaries as and when due while constructing roads and reconstructing schools across the state despite the dwindling federal allocation. Nigerian Governors must take a lesson from Aketi's style of prudent leadership. Despite all the banana peels that have been thrown at my Governor, he just keeps working and coming up with fresh ideas to move Ondo State forward. He has refused to fall. This is the Aketi that destroyed the Iroko in Ondo State. May God continue to uphold you, our working governor.

But the Iroko is still there growing stronger grin

a governor who have been in office for abt 2 years, with no single achievement, u ar here asking of nairalanders intellectual, ask the governor how much he refurnished each car, then u can compare the price of refurnishing each car to a price of buying a new car, after all he is jus taking a good step towards pocketing good amount of money into his pocket...all these politicians are the same, they are all thiefs, believe it or leave it. none of them is better,
I don't have much talk with you cuz judging by your statement you lack something in your head. There's no way the money he use to fix those trucks can get new ones. Did you really know how much hilux cost?? You think hilux is toyota camry?? I beg shift. Before you quote me go do brain transplant else don't expect my response.

Besides there's nothing he will do to please your type of people cuz your type believe everything is wrong.

I'm sure the cost of a refurbished truck is far more than the cost to acquire a new edition truck. There's no accountability and we keep hailing them.

If you are reading this comment outside Nigeria and you are doing fine, I'm so happy for you.

Following biddings from severally organisations, the Akeredolu’s administration brought in Logistical ideas Limited who has now delivered the first set of the renew vehicles with two years warranty.

It's a nice idea.
But the 2 year warranty is more or less a scam.

Any ways what's the likely amount of money spent on the purported refurbishment as against getting a new one?

I have nothing against him or for him, I never said the money he used in renovations can buy new Hilux, u should have understood my statement first before u went ahead to casting my statement, sometimes u DNT know who u ar chatting with on internet and yet u went ahead to saying things with harsh words, all we wish for this country is a better country and nothing else, a governor who has jus renovated a Hilux has now becomes a news in Nigeria, people of other countries are dealing with high technology interventions while we are busy talking abt good roads, and Hilux renovations, Mr udom Emmanuel the gov of akwa ibom renovated three blocks in my barrack last few months and what I see on nairaland was celebrations all over as they increased the number of blocks to 85 blocks, something that was jus three blocks and when I quoted one guy on the number, he insulted me and I went a head to capture the full picture of the renovations before he can believe me ,I am an army officer, nt just an soldier but an officer, high profile of rank in the military, only God knows what we have seen in this country but whenever we comes to the internet what we see is another different story. God bless Nigeria, God bless the Nigerian army, God bless the Cobra family 6 battalion

Till we get to know how much paid for the refurbishment per truck then we can all know if its rated good or not.
We all know in Nigeria when something is #10 even from the US, it turns out to be #2000 when its a government contract.
