Welcome home sir, welcome home!

I was of the opinion that I could not take a long break from this thread for anything, that even after landing, I will still contribute.

Well, I couldn't fight life. Relocating especially with a sizable family is a full time job. Settling in a new country especially in an area you don't know anybody is a full time job. Something has to give

I'm still finding my feet.

Could you please elaborate? Please give more info to better assist you. eg: is a foreign degree? etc..

Evaluation bodies would evaluate your transcript which should be equivalent to something in Canada. I say include it in whatever you are looking to evaluate and see what equivalency you get. You might be better off using an evaluation body other than WES if it is a Nigerian pre-degree.

Hello Everyone

Please has anyone tried to evaluate pre degree? If yes, Please was it recognized?

Hello e-fam, please I'd like to know what documents are required for my application if I use NOC 6322- COOK.

I have been working as a cook in my food business for 6 years. I am also the PA so I assume they'll ask for proof of my work experience at my business.

Thank you all.

Answers in bold.

bigwizzy001:

1. She's self employed. She sells foodstuffs and Akube clothes. This she has been doing after her nysc. I don't want her to use 1 year nysc experience because we are going to fall short of 25 points i.e 440 which isn't encouraging. How do we get reference letter from her foodstuffs and clothing business?
You can combine NOCs, both NYSC and her business. However, if she has been self employed for 3+ years, she can do without her NYSC experience. She however needs to mention it in her personal history.

2. What Noc are we going to categorize her business ?

https://www.nairaland.com/4212543/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled/263#64863653

3. Personally I think with that kind of business, she is more eligible for FST and not FSW. What is her job description? (Please see quote above)

4. [Deleted question] Did she work for 3 years? If the answer is no, then, NO.

Me I don't have any work experience o. I'm an industrial chemist graduate. I own my own small company, I'm an online marketer as well and I can also make local hair. Am I qualified to apply for the federal skilled worker program with my daughter? And if yes, where do I belong to in all these categories?

Pls any help will be appreciated.

Following previous trend, there is no permutation whatsoever that can accurately determine how impending CRS turn out. In fact, when it fell drastically and unprecedentedly to 413, no one predicted it. I am sure God needed to favour someone then.

Your best approach is to have faith and not to trust people's judgement. I'm on 447 and I have no doubt that I'm having ITA before my next birthday. All things are possible to he who believes.
Hi, I like your faith but if you've a way of improving your scores, please do...

Been thinking of what to do cause my wife who is the PA is having same issue and we cant use ICES cause she finish from Uniport . Is there anybody that has evaluate UNIPORT certificate recently ? Just asking if there is any change

Yes I used ICES. They actually told me they cannot evaluate my uniport degree. I bombarded them with emails to quickly refund my money so I can do it else where. They later sent me a mail that because my degree is a doctorate degree, they will circumvent their standing rules and confirm my degree with sources outside uniport. I was elated, when the Eca came however, it read PhD geography and environmental management instead of PhD Economics. Then I really believed that they confirmed it from "sources outside uniport". Had to write back to them on the error, they told me to go ahead with the cic ref number on the eca that they have updated it on their server. I just got a mail again from UPS now that they are also sending me another copy/updated cc of the ECA.

So I guess it's just luck, took 14weeks. Weigh your options

Indeed. Faith without work is dead. I have exhausted every means of improving my score. I have a masters degree, my wife also, I missed clb 10 in ielts just by a whisker. My last hope therefore is God.

[quote author=CheesyTee post=79555424]Unfortunately, he can’t. Saskatchewan requires that one’s work experience must correlate with education.

He can apply under FSW

Thank you CheesyTee for your prompt response.
We are applying for the FSW, but after simulating our score, we are on 433,and that's because of age. And it doesn't look like the draw will ever come down that low.
Hence, the reason for us trying pnp.
I'll appreciate any advice given.
Thanks once again.

You don't need Lawschool to verify, only your university.
I didn’t use my university, just law school. Didn’t have proper information at the time. So I’m a bit stuck with them. They have sent the transcript though but not acknowledged the second verification by Wes. Any idea how to go about this?

Hi my people,

I and my husband finished from same school so our transcripts were packed separately and kept together in one packet so as to avoid paying double money to courier. It was sent to IQAS for ECA. The school official said they have been doing it like that for couples. I need to know if anyone here has done it like that and if its fine.
It is not a problem. IQAS really doesn't mind. I also did something similar and I recently got my ECA.

The mailing address is where you would like to receive any document they want to send. It could be your place of work, it could be your home address etc
Mine is my home address. So the question is, where or which address would you like to get whatever document sent to you?
