No! She hit the ball fist, she didn't miss the ball!

Her focus was on the ball, not the player's leg.

Check it out again!
She lago-ed (missed the ball). Unfortunately for her, the leg landed on the German girl calf.

Th second African player taking wild swings at a ball... The first one from Cameroon got away with it but not our girl; it looked really bad on replay and it is also dangerous and very painful connection to the shin.

Nja needs to go for it one way or the other - as long as they dont concede 13 goal they should be fine
BULLSHIT. SHE WENT FOR THE BALL.

She should be our number 1 keeper. The other keeper almost cost us our qualification to this round. She be basket.....

This one is far better....

That's no way to speak about Oluehi Tochukwu. She was one of our better players in last year's AWCON. Show some damn respect.

This VAR teem will kill soccer very soon. Referees will just be useless in the field because VAR people be the main officials

Did the crowd boo the penalty decision?

Do we finally have a crowd supporting us?
They are not supporting us, they are opposing Germany who they see as a big rival.

People wey no fit score dey conceed penalty. Super Falcons have not improve at all over the years and somebody was telling me that the world cup was structured so that no African can win it. What nonsense talk.
The goals go reach 5 today. And super eagles won't even cushion this loss because they will struggle against Burundi.

Exactly. This team is shockingly poor. They boot the ball to safety everytime they get it. But some guys here let sentimentalism becloud their sense of fair judgment. See them blaming Referee and VAR. Did we score a clean goal and VAR canceled it? Should we have won a penalty that VAR overlooked? Ain't surprised though. Humans generally have the tendency to blame someone else for their misfortunes

32 min: Dabritz rolls a gorgeous pass down the inside-right channel, very nearly releasing Gwinn on the overlap. Ihezuo does extremely well to keep up and shepherd the ball out of play for a goal kick. Gwinn, slightly exasperated, takes a wild swipe at the ball just before it runs out, and connects with Ihezuo instead. She’s booked.

5.00pm 17:00
30 min: Short corner. Faff. Ball easily cleared. Did the first goal not teach Germany anything?

4.59pm 16:59
29 min: And Nigeria had started so well, too. The crowd have turned on the referee and Germany, and are booing at the non-award of every perceived foul. Germany care not, going about their business and winning another corner out on the right.

4.58pm 16:58
GOAL! Germany 2-0 Nigeria (Dabritz 27 pen)

Dabritz sends an unstoppable arrow into the bottom-right corner. Perfectly placed and executed! Nnadozie went the right way, but couldn’t get anywhere near it, even at full stretch.

26 min: Nnadozie is lectured by the referee. Don’t move off that line! There’s hardly been any action for the last six minutes. It’s all VAR-related shenanigans. The rhythm of the NFL.

4.56pm 16:56
25 min: Yep, it’s a penalty, and Nwabuoku is booked. The crowd don’t like this, and boo heartily, but this is the correct decision.

4.55pm 16:55
24 min: And now there’s more VAR actin, as Germany come straight back at Nigeria, Magull attempting to latch onto a ball in the Nigerian box. Nwabuoku swipes at the ball, but misses, kicking Magull’s knee instead. This is probably going to be a penalty. So clumsy.

4.54pm 16:54
23 min: No. The goal stands!

4.53pm 16:53
22 min: Of course, Fifa have their new toy, so this is going to VAR, with Huth possibly standing offside, marginally. Is she in front of Nnadozie, restricting the keeper?
