pls help I use a Compaq presario cq62, I tried to upgrade the RAM to 4gig by adding another 2gig ram, but only power and capslock light stay on when I switch on with 4gig ram, however each ram work when single on the first slot, the second slot shows capslock and powerlight without screen switching on if I insert any of the ram in it as a single 2gig ram, could there be problem with the system or slot, or Bios configuration.

Three things are most likely the cause;

1. The screen
The screen led lights might have reached their end of life. Sadly, you will have to change the screen if that's the case.

2. IC on board.
If an IC (display IC or associated ICs) isn't delivering enough voltage to the display inverter, the leds won't light up. Hence the IC is replaced or there's a work around.
Although, with a "work around", you may not be able to regulate the display brightness.
Well, it's cheaper though

3. The display inverter.
If you're using a much older PC, the display inverter is most likely separate from the screen. If it's bad, the display won't be lit up. You'll need to replace it.

However, with recent PCs, The inverter is embedded on the panel attached to the screen. There usually some trick applied to that section of the panel to "wake" the said inverter.
Ofcourse if that doesn't work you replace the screen.

Hello, when using my laptop,if I click on a folder it opens another thing. I tired using an external mouse but it is still the same issues. what could be the problem??

I ran some checkups nd d system response was that the audio gadgets was not plugging. I call d seller nd he told me that not all d core 2 duo came with inbuilt speakers. pls what can I do in dis situation sir. I need your professional advice on how to get it right with this system.

But speakers, there are small speakers use for laptop or desktop, you. Connect it to the headphones connector.
