My baby also rejected avent the day I tried it. What he takes is the nipple that came with free nestle sample. I use it with my pump bottle or with my evenflo storage bottles.

Nan 1 is safe, just ensure optimum hygiene. Milk production is primarily based on demand and supply, the more your baby sucks, the more milk is produced. Continue putting baby to breast, rest well, drink PLENTY warm fluids, especially water, take oats, pap.

My son didn't even latch till about 6days later and w3 continued exclusive from there. All the best

To suck na problem. But I have her time. You must suck this breast whether you like it or not. The battle is from morning to night 10pm na breast milk. She will suck 3 seconds and shes sleeping but bring feeder close to her mouth, she will be wide awake to drink. Na me born you ooooo

Breast was not flowing before, the milk flow is better than before, suck the breast my baby girl go hold the nipple for her mouth like chewing gum. Suck the breast, she no gree,next thing shes sleeping but once you drop her on the bed shes wide awake screaming. Ah babies get sense oooo but my own pass her own. You must suck this breast. I must do exclusive breast feeding ar least for 3months

what is important is a healthy well fed baby. You can combifeed till you adjust. Some mamas swear by fenugreek etc. Drink lots of water, eat well and don't stress

Good morning mamas, please help me look into this issue. My son is 1 year but he's not weighing as much as i think he should, i believe he is underweight. He weighed 3.1 at birth and at 12 months 8kg, he was placed on multivitamin but i dont see any difference. He was exclusively bfed and still sucking, only takes pap and cereal, fish and egg sometimes but rejects other foods. He is quite active and hardly sleeps during the day.

Mamas, am I over reacting?

Just form partial deafness.
That's what I do sometimes when someone wants to kill me with talk or questions.
Start with forming deafness when your phone is ringing so she won't say it is her you're doing this for. When there is a knock on the door, form deafness.
If she says something pesky, let her repeat it twice or thrice.
Don't let your body language show that you heard.
No one likes repeating the same thing.
Charity has partial deafness and I can tell you it has saved her from many countless shouts by me, sometimes I just stand and do my thing myself.


Also, don't for once think your mom can't exhibit such traits if she was alive too ó.
For Moyo, I had to let my mom go at 39 days biko and I had CS. No doubt my mom is very hardworking and absolutely fantastic but..... Arrrrgggh! There can't be 2 captains on a ship na. She was practically trying to overrun my house.
For Muna, we got along better, I accepted all the help I got but we still fight laslas
For Akorede Hmmmmm I called my SS friend to come and cook omugwo peppersoup for me with correct catfish. I told them to pack the rest in the freezer for me, only for me to see her dishing it out to the whole house. I mean......!
As Zainab that I am, I promptly collected it from everyone and put in my bowl. Abeg how many of us go labor room come back.
She was like but when she saw how much the peppersoup helped with flushing blood out, she saw reason.


What I'm trying to say is, most mothers are bossy. Whether yours or not. They are used to running their own show since they themselves became parents. Try as much to tolerate her. Hopefully, omugwo will soon be over and you'll have your space back.

You can download children songs, poems and rhythms on your phone and give the child to watch. Especially oyibo ones as they are usually colourful and will catch children attention.

Mamas, am I over reacting?

Mums are like that. When my mum was around for omugwu, she was like that.

* she will call me to bring out stockfish and dryfish for my soup and after giving her she will reduce it saying that it's too much. Then why did you call me to bring them out?

* When I take out LO to see visitor at the sitting room, she will complain of exposing him too much because of AC and will always closing LO window that cold is much and wearing Lo plenty clothes that makes him uncomfortable and sweats.

* Dh likes cooking certain food that is common from his side which am not used to nor eat as we aren't from same area, while at it, mum will still come show * the water is too much* * Don't add more oil* * will you put all these meat* and so on...



That is how mothers do especially when them feel at home. But I told her to stop interfering with Dh while making his special meals. In some cases I just explained why I want certain things done in some ways
Other times I just ignore it and have it done as she wished .

Just take it ease with her and try to ignore some of the things as she won't be there with you continually.
