Course : Masters Project Mgt and Operations School : Southern New Hampshire University Deficit: 25k Scholarship: 2k Sponsor : God Mother First Degree : Agricultural Economics Certification: Professional Marketing. UK Proposed Responses Why USA Learning to me goes beyond studying book but also having intellectual discussion and relationship with both professors and students from various backgrounds with different knowledge and experience The USA is globally recognised country for educational excellence and a academic friendly environ hence the destination of over 500000 international students and global standard lecturers being a part of this assembling of intellect will not only boost my knowledge but will give me a competitive edge on my return to my country Why Not study in your country I deeply crave to be a champion of change innovation and development in the field of project management and operations with respect to agriculture and marketing, achieving such a desire will never be possible if I am not exposed to an advanced system/process in a developed country that's a world leader in innovation. Secondly international experience accrues a lot of respect and will put me in the forefront of change and improvement after I must have learnt both in class and outside class in the u.s.a. on my return Why SNHU Firstly, course curriculum which includes courses in project management operations management Six Sigma quality management quantitative analysis and statistics decision-making statistics totally covers all I desire to learn with respect to the experience I've gained and my future plans secondly doctor bleep has 7 years working experience in Africa during which he successfully established a business model in rural community to improve their economy, now this is very similar to my own business model as it is also going to be focused towards rural community. so working with somebody at such a global level who understands where I'm coming from and has done what I want to do on my return will make transfer learning easier. Hence it will be of very very big advantage to me and a double Plus for me. What have you been doing after Graduation. How to my graduation I went for my one-year NYSC in 2013 and went into agriculture where are invested $300 with the production of making $500 from it at the end of the day I made only $5 very devastating but I learnt my lessons and that exposed me to a business idea in agriculture that I've been working on ever since then. in 2014 I started working with bleep as a brand activation executive where I manned as customer experience centre, in 2016 I moved to bleep as a corporate sales executive my role was terms negotiation client relationship and account management are there move to bleep in 2017 as an enterprise sales specialist and 3 months later I moved to bleep as a marketing operations coordinator where I worked on various divisions such as agric automobile, I. T, power products activities were marketing OPERATIONS, marketing research brand promotion amongst others now I'm looking forward I'm looking forward to taking a managerial role in it agric division What will the course do for you/Why this course After successfully studying and gaining extensive knowledge in project management, operations management, quality management supply chain management, statistics and spreadsheet management it will land me the prowess and qualification to take up a managerial role in my present company as they are expanding their business in agriculture, this position is also a pathway to establishing my own business model which is focused on centralising the various value chain processes in agriculture hence fully establishing my own company which I also look forward to changing the customer experience in restaurants by introducing/selling an advanced operational process. Please, both Gurus and Amateurs, kindly share your opinion on if my story is constant and convincing. I am already aware of some negatives with the choice of course as it can be fully done online... So based on this... What do you guys think... @Lagosismyhome @sharwama @fairheart, @time2win 1 Like |

Abeg any caribbean medical students applying for B1/B2 for their clinical rotations here?. I m trying to renew mine to continue my clinicals ( i have been here for the past 1 year and half doing my medical clerkships, leaving every 6 months and returning back to continue clerkships and dem fit dey think say i wan settle for here cos of this) but i feel the consular officers do not understand the clause in : 9 FAM 402.2-5(E)(3) (U) Clerkship (CT:VISA-412; 07-21-2017) a. (U) Except as in the cases described below, aliens who wish to obtain hands-on clerkship experience are not deemed to fall within B-1 visa classification. b. (U) Medical Clerkship: An alien who is studying at a foreign medical school and seeks to enter the United States temporarily in order to take an “elective clerkship” at a U.S. medical school’s hospital without remuneration from the hospital. The medical clerkship is only for medical students pursuing their normal third or fourth year internship in a U.S. medical school as part of a foreign medical school degree. (An “elective clerkship” affords practical experience and instructions in the various disciplines of medicine under the supervision and direction of faculty physicians at a U.S. medical school’s hospital as an approved part of the alien’s foreign medical school education. It does not apply to graduate medical training, which is restricted by INA 212(e) and normally requires a J-visa.) c. (U) Business or other Professional or Vocational Activities: An alien who is coming to the United States merely and exclusively to observe the conduct of business or other professional or vocational activity may be classified B-1, provided the alien pays for his or her own expenses. However, aliens, often students, who seek to gain practical experience through on-the-job training or clerkships must qualify under INA 101(a)(15)(H) or INA 101(a)(15)(L), or when an appropriate exchange visitors program exists (J). Provided certain requirements are met, interns at embassies, consulates, miscellaneous foreign government offices (MFGOs), missions to international organizations, or international organizations may qualify for A-2, G-1, G-2, G-3, or G-4 visas. See 9 FAM 402.3-5(D)(1) and 9 FAM 402.3-7(B). Interns at the United Nations may also qualify for a B-1 visa if the requirements in 9 FAM 402.3-7(D)(2) are satisfied. 1 Like 1 Share |

I'm not a guru oh. But really your responses are too long. Try to go straight to the point. Avoid pity stories. Short and concise answers so you don't get cut before making your strong points. And instead of God mother as sponsor, maybe Aunt will sound better. All the best. segunbolawole: 1 Like |

Oh, I hope this is not too late. I know of one Optima Hotel at 14 Makurdi Street, Garki. It is about 7-10mins walk to the embassy by a short-cut. To access the hotel from Area 1, join a cab heading to Wuse, tell the driver you will alight at Ministry of Defence MOD Junction (which is opposite the Embassy street) for #100. From there cross to the other side of the road and take a walk back you will see a an untarred road which has like a flyover bridge under construction, just walk down the street and keep your eyes on the left side, you will see the hotel building. Locate a foot path (at your left) to navigate to Makurdi Street. Better still, if you arrive early a day before your interview, and you decide to visit the embassy to know the environment before the D day, you may ask anyone of those hustlers at the embassy for the direction to the hotel. I can help with the hotel phone contact and email....I should be able to get that from the receipt I have with me. I hope this helps. Best of luck 2unji: 6 Likes 4 Shares |

Davidkking: In simple terms, Caribbean medical schools have affiliations with US teaching hospitals. Students in those schools apply for a B1/B2 visa to get their clinical experience at those teaching hospitals as explained in the foreign affairs manual (FAM). They do not get an F1 cos they aint students of US medical schools. |

Everything actually.. Try to reduce them. Remove unnecessary stories. Be concise. Go straight to the point. Build your statement around the most important point. Focus on the question itself. All the best. segunbolawole: |

Thanks for the information. Exactly mine isn't ready too. So can I send a copy to them personally that's instead of going through my school? [quoteq author=iwriterng post=79671102] Yes. I used Statement Of Result as my certificate isn’t ready yet. Regardless, they will still send a copy of the document back to your school for validation. [/quote] |
