All this research is actually done buy student during their final year project but the lecturer take the glory. Like when I was in final year my group carried out research on diabetes treatment my lecturer boldly told us that if the treatment can cure diabetes He will take the glory why we take the mark only unfortunately teatment could only manage diabetes but not cure it then. Anyway kudos to him 1 Like 1 Share |

SarkinYarki: The keyword here is invention and guess what, it has several meanings with no condition attached. Check below. invention | ɪnˈvɛnʃ(ə)n | noun [mass noun] the action of inventing something, typically a process or device: the invention of printing in the 15th century. • [count noun] something, typically a process or device, that has been invented: medieval inventions included spectacles for reading and the spinning wheel. • creative ability: his powers of invention were rather limited. 2 Likes |

Xisnin: What are you trying to do Mr man ? Invention is a noun that's symbolizes the end action of the verb invent ..When you invent you and invention is the end result... Please stop trying to take word out of context ..the apt title for the FUTA lecturer would be " FUTA lecturer FABRICATES water hycinth harvester . 1 Like |

Xisnin:Please comment like you are basically intelligent. He did not invent it. This technology has been in existence long, long ago. Don't be misled by the writer calling it an invention/or calling the Prof an inventor in the report. A whole lot of our e-media writers today are half-baked and not smart enough to be doing what they're doing. 1 Like |

Eserise1:Were you the one that came up with the idea of the project and the methods to use in the research? I know it's the lecturer that gave you the topic, you only performed the experiments and did the write-up and want to take the glory? Research is collaborative with a team which the students are part of and the head of the team is obviously the lecturer. You don't expect an undergraduate who is yet to have a B.Sc as the lead researcher of a project when it's to be published or used to apply for grant. Do you? 1 Like |

God bless this Professor and your Team I will call 'the Achiever'.This is good news for us Nigeria. We expect both the Fed Govt and their State Counterparts to take up the Project by Bank-rolling it in commercial quantity. This is how America got developed.we can't wait until Politicians would waste our hard earned Currency for doing nothing.Water Hiccint is a big problem on our waterways. But today's technology no be talk, talk but practical and how far our Universities can go depends on the following factors:NEPA(DISCO/GEMCO)that refused to give 24/7 light.shame.A nation without 365 days light is far behind and other countries will not wait for us!!!-meaning that some Nigerians are holding this country to ransome and are happy doing so. |
