American YouTube star, Etika who is popularly known for his videos about video games has been found dead at the age of 29.


This heartbreaking news comes just days after the NYPD started a search for the YouTuber, whose real name was Desmond Amofah.



Police said his body was recovered from the East River Monday night off Pier 16 in Lower Manhattan, and that some of his belongings were retrieved near the Manhattan Bridge, NBC reports.



On Tuesday morning, the NYPD shared the tragic news of Etika's passing, writing on Twitter, "We regret to inform that Desmond Amofah aka Etika has been found deceased."


Detective Sophia Mason DCPI Spokesperson also shared in statement, "On Monday, June 24, 2019 at approximately 1818 hours, police responded to a 911 call for a person floating in the waters in the vicinity of South Street Seaport in the confines of the 1st Precinct. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive, unidentified male at the location."


The statement continued, "NYPD Harbor removed the male to the Pier 16 where EMS pronounced him deceased. The medical examiner will determine the cause of death and the investigation is ongoing."


His death comes after he had uploaded an eight-minute video in which he included suicidal thoughts. But the video has been removed from YouTube.

Why not find out why he committed suicide first before you start masturbating over issues you do not understand? Does the fact that there's suicide in both Nigeria and USA now mean that the standard of living in the two countries should be compared?

People commit suicide in Venezuela, Zimbabwe, India. But million others are still surviving..... But we're discussing on the platform of standard of life in these countries with western country....

The op failed to understand that suicide isn't accomplished because of a failed society or the growing poverty in most countries...But most people commit suicide because they have emotional fight especially between lovers planning on breaking up!!
