I went to renew mine yesterday and it was surprisingly smooth process. Thanks to the glass breaker.

The only thing you have to do now is go to the post office and buy a self address special delivery envelope for £7.40. This is after you have completed the online forms and paid 130 dollars. After completing the online form and you are validated. You will will get a date to go and do data capture.
Did they ask for the national identity number? Was the 10yr passport available?

They didn't ask for NIN. I'm not sure if the passport will be 10 year validity. I will receive in two weeks and let you know

If that windscreen breaker was what was required to infuse sanity into the passport acquisition process........

That chap must have a statue erected in front of NHC..........

I concur. One of the guys there said something like 'we don't want you guys to come and destroy our cars that's why we are posting the passports now'

Which legal aid? For criminal damage? An embassy? We need the lawyers in the house, cause I know that when it comes to consulate issues its not straight forward.

NHC is deemed a Nigerian patch in the UK..... So the UK government accords all forms of protection and the state is responsible.........

UK

Why UK? Its a crime against the Nigerian consulate by a Nigerian. The police cannot go into a consulate to arrest any one its out of their jurisdiction. Its like going to Nigeria to arrest a criminal. Please correct me if I'm wrong. That's why people are able to take refuge in an embassy.

But that consulate is on a British soil and due to diplomatic ties, the state offers protection to all consulate according to local laws and UN regulations........

for example if a British man damages property of the consulate in Nigeria, he will be prosecuted by the British government and not the Nigerian Govt.

So they would extradite the person to the UK, to charge them..........

All those seeking visas in Nigeria, go and destroy BHC in VI.....

I am already on my way to destroy, so I can be extradited............. grin
