What Happens To The $1bn Approved For Purchase Of Arms? by TonyeBarcanista(m): 1:37pm On Jun 26, 2019 |
In April 2018 it was reported that the Federal Executive Council approved $1bn for purchase of arms to tackle BOKO HARAM and other insurgents. https://dailypost.ng/2018/04/04/buhari-approves-release-1bn-security-equipment-fight-boko-haram/ The National Economic Council equally approved $1 billion for the fight against Boko Haram same April 2018. However, in December 2018, the Nigeria Army through its acting Spokesman complained that the money is yet to be released despite the approval. http://saharareporters.com/2018/12/03/fg-yet-release-1bn-fight-boko-haram-–-army We are rounding off June 2019, more than 14 months after approval yet NOTHING has been released to the Army/Military yet, miscreants, kidnappers, bandits, terrorists and insurgents have been having a field day in Nigeria. Where is the $1bn as approved? Who is sitting on it? PIX: US Army Drone Vs Nigeria Army Drone

TonyeBarcanista: 1. The president did not approve any money and he can not approve any money until the money is appropriated and consented to by the National assembly. Buhari Denies Approving U.S.$1 Bn for Arms Purchase 2. The fact that the Army deployed the drone in the picture you posted for that specific operation doesn't mean they don't have bigger and better drones. 3. Where is the sense and wisdom in comparing any drone in Nigeria with the drones in the US? Are we on the same level technologically or militarily? Maybe Britain and other advanced countries should go and die because they don't have US type drones. You are even worse than Igbos because this is the kind of ignorant and low mentality rubbish we get from Igbos 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Swallowed by the BuhariApC Cabal. Over 90% of our earnings as FGN goes to procurement of Peace in the Northern Nigeria. This crisis are all self inflicted by Islamists who are lazy asses that do nothing but depends on Southern resources and wealth to be used for Islamisation and fulanization. It's pathetic. I Wake up to lament the fate of Nigeria daily. |

[s] deomelo:[/s] This is why some people tagged some.of you as ZOMBIES The Nigerian Army has said that about seven months after the sum of $1 billion was approved by the Federal Government to fight Boko Haram and other security threats across the country, it was yet to access its share of the fund. It regretted that the fund was still domiciled in the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), even as he assured that efforts were being made by the Ministry of Defence to facilitate the release and consequent application. It will be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had, sometime in April, given approval for the release of $1 billion, for the purchase of arms and other equipment, to fight the Boko Haram insurgency in the North-East. However, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.- Gen. Tukur Buratai, has said the Army had yet to receive the cash, contrary to expectations.http://saharareporters.com/2018/12/03/fg-yet-release-1bn-fight-boko-haram-–-army That was 7 months after approval, yet, You zombieshly claim that there wasn't any approval. 4 Likes 1 Share

[s] TonyeBarcanista:[/s] He said the fund could only be spent "upon and in the manner as shall be approved by the National Assembly and assented to in an Appropriation Act or a supplementary Appropriation Act." Look at this ipob Zombie wannabee posting bogus links all over the place just to prove some ignorant and unintelligent point. At your pitiful old age, you still don't know basic constitutional requirements about spending and appropriation. See what lack of brown paper turn you into, just another joker posting dumb and unintelligent nonsense all over the internet. How hard is it to produce a credible link sef? 2 Likes
